    Watanabe is the biggest wild card. If he can be a 14-18 mpg player on a contending team, that would be great. I'll be happy to be wrong.

    With you on Bates-Diop and Eubanks. Disagree on Okogie, who was in the Suns' rotation only because of necessity, and Watanabe. I'd say the evidence for that is shaky. Gordon, certainly, but who are the others?

    How do you figure? "Deep" usually means deep with quality talent. The Suns have maybe 7 guys who would be rotation players on most teams, then a huge crapshoot for who's going to cover the rest of the minutes. Just having a bunch of names on the payroll isn't depth.

    I bought at 110 and am holding it for now, but I'm not convinced enough to want to double down. Of all the media names out there, they seem among the most certain to survive, but it could be years before they find a compelling path.

    I still think of Embiid as a ticking bomb as far as his health is concerned. I didn't realize that he's done a pretty good job of staying on the floor the last two seasons. He certainly has more value than anyone presently on the Suns' roster.

    Jackson's shot was fundamentally flawed. Scouts always say "That can be fixed," but it almost never happens. A wing with an unreliable shooting mechanic is going to have a hard time catching on in the modern NBA, no matter how "athletic" he is.

    Yeah, it's novel for the Suns to have a billionaire owner who is willing to overpay for aging stars, but for the league as a whole, it's been there, done that. The Suns are a poor man's Prokhorov Nets, and they aren't scaring anybody.

    Unfortunately, the Suns' Game 7 collapse against Dallas is going to be their defining "performance" for a very long time, unless they happen to win a title. They've forfeited the right to be respected as a serious franchise.
