How do you figure? "Deep" usually means deep with quality talent. The Suns have maybe 7 guys who would be rotation players on most teams, then a huge crapshoot for who's going to cover the rest of the minutes. Just having a bunch of names on the payroll isn't depth.

I can already tell we won't agree here and that is fine but 7 seems super light.

Ayton, Booker, Durant, Beal, and Gordon are all undisputed rotation players on any team so that's 5.

Yuta, KBD, Eubanks, and Okogie were all rotation players last season.

Multiple guys on the second tier turned down larger contracts to play here so they would be rotation players elsewhere.

I really feel like we go 9 deep before it gets dicey

It's not a bunch of names. Legit NBA pundits have almost covered each of these guys and why they like them. Some of here have watched certain guys and are saying we are happy they are on the team. Guys like Windhorst are saying how well we did to scoop all these guys up. IDK, how much stuff has been posted form sources all over the NBA by posters here on almost every guy. The only "name" guy I am skeptical about is Bol Bol. He has a wicked PR machine online. I am more intrigued in how Vogel is going to mix it up with our squad. What NBA team has more than 5 guys that can be more than rotational pieces? There may be a few, but not most or many. If there's a squad with ten starters for most NBA teams, then they should be winning this title every year.

Watanabe was noted that he could have gotten more elsewhere. I don't know how to use the search function like others here, but two or three guys had articles or were quoted saying they turned down more money to come here.

Watanabe is the biggest wild card. If he can be a 14-18 mpg player on a contending team, that would be great. I'll be happy to be wrong.
