Suns @ Timberwolves game thread 12-16-17

I have a feeling Len is going to get paid. For all of his faults, I would really like to keep him. Him playing this well in a contract year scares me a little, but I'd hate to see him throw up a double double every night elsewhere.

Suns @ Timberwolves game thread 12-16-17

I am just making an observation. This season is clearly lost. Mainly pointing out how terrible Jackson, Chriss, and Bender have been. (Aside from flashes here and there.) Although I do find it ironic that we're apparently not allowed to give rookies a few minutes a game because we're...

Suns @ Timberwolves game thread 12-16-17

Sure why not? Have you seen Jackson this year? Reed has 4 years of experience while Jackson is about as raw as it gets. Now, Reed's ceiling is a LOT lower, but I think he'd be able to contribute more than Jackson at this point. And honestly that's not saying much. Peters does two things...

Suns @ Timberwolves game thread 12-16-17

I'd wager that Reed would contribute more than Jackson. Also, Peters would contribute more than both Chriss and Bender.

Booker has the killer mentality and ability to score similar to Kobe. I don't think anyone is saying he IS Kobe. But the comparison is perfectly acceptable.

    Suns @ 76ers game thread 12-4-17

Sure why not? Booker is on an insane trajectory to start his career. And he's really the only option on a very below average team. Constantly forced to create for himself, fight through double and triple teams, etc. 25/5/4 as a 21 year old. Kobe mentality at the end of games, which is what...

    Suns @ 76ers game thread 12-4-17

No need to pump the brakes. Booker has the Kobe mentality and ability to make shots from literally anywhere no matter how well he's guarded. And he WANTS to be the one that closes out games. Suns have not had that type of player in, I have no idea. Talent wise Booker is a notch below Kobe...

    Suns @ 76ers game thread 12-4-17

Good. Without Chandler do the Suns keep the game close? If not, do we get Booker turning into Kobe tonight? This game was huge for Booker. Another step in becoming elite. I know the tank crowd is probably irritated after this game and would rather see the Suns "play really well but still...

    Yeah Gabbert is QBOF

Was wondering how long it would take for this thread.

I will gladly take a 4-5 seed that is a threat every season to whatever I've been watching the past 2 years.

Suns @ Bulls game thread 11-28-17

9/13 17/18 10/8 The 3 games before he was initially benched. All in less than 30 minutes. Len has his issues, but let's not pretend he wasn't playing well before he was benched.

Len with 13/18. Hopefully this ends his DNP's.

    TJ Warren now

I am far from an Irving homer, but watching Booker this year is frustrating. He needs another legit scorer next to him to take some of the pressure off. He's trying to carry the entire team by himself. Irving could have been that guy. But I will say at the time I was completely against...

    TJ Warren now

Realistically he would be a solid #3 option on a good team, and a fantastic #4 on a championship level team. The Suns desperately need another scorer to pair with Booker. Kyrie Irving comes to mind. Does anyone say no to that trade now? (Supposedly) Jackson and Bledsoe for Irving? Irving...

Bucks @ Suns game thread 11-22-17

Bledsoe had his one "great" game of the season against the Suns. His revenge game. He was playing like he was trying to murder the entire organization. Tells me all I need to know, really. And I hope the Bucks have fun with Rich Paul.

Bulls @ Suns game thread 11-19-17

Sure, why not? I don't think it's such a bad thing to get guys like Booker, Warren, Jackson, Chriss (or Bender), Ulis, etc some playoff experience. As long as Sarver doesn't panic and blow up the young "core" then I think getting into the playoffs would be a huge step.

Bulls @ Suns game thread 11-19-17

They are one "really good" player away from being able to at least compete again. Who that is? Not sure. But I'd be willing to give up either Chriss or Bender + multiple picks to get him. Even Jackson if the haul is good enough. Warren has a death-grip on the starting SF spot. Would really...

Has the light turned on for Len?

Ask me in 3 months. But early on has been pretty promising. I kind of get the feeling that the Suns will let him walk and he'll turn into a 12/12 28-30 minute guy somewhere else.

Bulls @ Suns game thread 11-19-17

Fun fact, the Suns are 1.5 games out of the playoffs.

Bulls @ Suns game thread 11-19-17

2 pretty nice wins in a row. .500 under Triano, I think? Suns better watch out, pick might end up being a little later in the lottery than expected. :grabs:

    How good is Booker?

But it may lead to wins. Which is fine. (And good!) Plus you gotta keep Booker happy. Wins will do that.

So uh, Gabbert? Alex Smith type story or what?
  23. JS22

    How good is Booker?

Yes, actually. At this point I am rooting for the development of all the young guys. Which can, unfortunately for the ping-pong balls crowd, lead to wins.

That's some vintage Larry Johnson right there.

    Knight Suffers ACL Tear

Throwing Knight into a 3 PG lineup was stupid. Making him play the backup SG spot was stupid. Honestly at his point he MIGHT be the best option going into next season. It's amazing to think the Suns went from guys like Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas to Knight. But here we are. That said, it's...
