    Only as a quiet whisper. 3rd place in the NL west doesn't guaranty a wild card spot-- both of which are currently spoken for by the Cardinals and Brewers. The only hope is that the DBs cow-pen doesn't suck as much as L.A. or Denver. And given the last week, that's a pretty tall order.

    ^-- +1 on that. DB's are 7-9 vs. S.F., and have a -11 run differential. DBs have gotten some late-inning run support the last few games--an uplifting sign. Meanwhile, Colorado is in Anaheim and then San Diego for a total of 6 games.

    Right now, the DBs BFF are the St. Louis Cardinals. They have laid waste to the Doyers bullpen. Even tonight that dumpster fire can't be extinguished. Next up for the Redbirds: 3 at Coors Canaveral. Say it with me now: The Cardinals are our friends..for now. :D
