2015-2017, JJ Nelson averaged 25 recps / 458 yards / 18 yds per / 3.3 TDs per year dont be slandering JJ Nelson's memory and btw: i am thinking along the lines of someone who could be acquired. The Jaylen Waddle s arent being traded

i dunno What would our outlook be on the Cards this week if, lets say, Chad had doinked the winning FG off the right upright?

Rashid Shaheed? signed through 2025. Saints, as usual, are wayyyyyy over the cap next year and may not be in position to extend him Olave would instantly vault the WR corp up the charts -- Olave from pure experience would push existing WRs down one slot. Also signed through 2025 (the...

Kyle thinks we should beat Miami first, then consider becoming buyers at the trade deadline

as Schlereth was saying on the broadcast yesterday: nobody on the Card offense scares teams deep. not sure Diontae is that kind of receiver, but would like to find a JJ Nelson type somewhere

ha. Maybe the Chiefs let him go for a 7th?? (edit: this would break one of my NFL golden rules "never trade with Andy Reid")

    Kyler Murray Debate Thread

the single most encouraging thing about yesterday: Kyler threw with timing, anticipation and accuracy so many key throws, some on the run -- but: 2-15 on their 32 on the final drive to win it. Kyler hits Marv on a deep in for 18 yds and a 1st down: over the LB, between the 2 safeties...

Kyle thinks we should beat Miami first, then consider becoming buyers at the trade deadline

if Miami goes up the Buff next week and loses -- they would be 2-6. Miami is also $11 mm over next years salary cap -- so they might be open to unloading some guys signed beyond this season would adding a vet corner be of interest? Kendall Fuller is signed through 2025 at a reasonable $7mm...

very curious to see how the Bears show up Sunday after such a gutting loss -- and a loss that they will hear about all week long.

to get this thread BACK on topic: So they beat the Dolphins what is Monti buying? Criteria -- 2 wins teams, players are UFAs this offseason. EDGE: Chase Young of the Saints? rental, comp would be cheap. So many warts, but probably the best chance to get a good edge rusher, assuming...

Kyler needed to show that if a team loads up to stop the run, he can make them pay he did today. great step forward, and i loved seeing him hit MHJ on the deep middle in: a pure timing throw i hadnt see much of this season

this defense its just pitch and catch week after week and its mostly coverage rather than a lack of pressure

the defense -- sigh very high % completion surrendered / very % 3rd down conversion allowed the offense has to be perfect to win that said: its a one score game and the Cards get the ball to start

Arizona Cardinals @ Miami Dolphins Pre Game Thread. 10/22/24-10/26/24

    1. that video is awesome 2. My take away is that there is blame all over the place: the scheme could be better, Kylers decisions can be better, the WRs can be better (routes and actually catching the ball)

Week 7 Snap Counts and Thoughts

i think this is correct i think about Jamar Chase's rookie year -- but he joined Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins -- two in their prime WRs Justin Jefferson joined Adam Thielen, a vet in his prime WR I think Marv has lots to work on, but stepping in as the clear #1 WR is hard for a rookie --...

no question coaches emphasize this, but i also think Kyler got risk averse late in Kliffs run as well

Week 7 Snap Counts and Thoughts

100% this. single factor problems tend to get solved easily. Offense has a few medium sized issues (in no particular order) 1. The offense is conservative philosophically -- although maybe a function of trying to protect a bad defense too. 2. Their best grouping is 3 TEs, which limits...

Week 7 Snap Counts and Thoughts

maybe i have seen plenty of play action out of that set, and it has Kyler taking a deeper drop and looking downfield -- but he then moves on to another option. My opinion is that its more a function of the target being covered rather than pressure

    Fire Petzing now

imo -- a Kyler specific issue: I think he has become too interception risk averse. Watch 2019-2021 film of him -- he was letting stuff rip all the time. Today I see too many throws that lack conviction. You watch film and on many drops you can see him recognize where the ball needs to go...
