Who are your later round draft targets?

He's looking like he's going sometime in the 3rd. We'd have to take him @72, imo, if he's even there then.

    2020 Draft Players Consensus Rankings

Looks like a clear top (10) ten followed by the next six.

    Keims Conference

I think that Wirfs, Brown and Lamb are all in big time play at 8. Just don't know in what order. He said also that Thomas was the best pass blocker. Read into that what you will. He also said if there's three guys we love equally we'd be open to moving down that far with good comp. It'll be real...

PreDraft notes. Draft news leading up to draft day.

Derrick Brown would start right off on the left side, imo. He'd be a three down lineman. Wirfs would supplant at either RT or G right away, imo. Lamb would start on the outside opposite Hopkins right away. Impact receiver long term. They'd obviously be loaded at the position, but they kept 7...

    Prayers please...

Yes, speedy recovery Dan. We all needed some good news!

Said he wants an immediate impact contributor if they stay at 8. I read Wirfs/Wills, Brown or Lamb if the other two are gone.

    Have a OL question

Well Muttay did grade out higher ultimately then Any of the interior linemen. Did you actually watch Pugh get tossed aside repeatedly by Donald? Our IOL is below league average. And we have the franchise playing right there.

So sorry your family is going through this. Prayers for Dan coming!

    Have a OL question

Either way. I just know that Pugh got blown up a lot going against Donald.

    Have a OL question

Wirfs started as as true freshman in the B10 and was more than effective. Went up against AJ Espenesa every single day at practice while at Iowa. Not an easy feat by any stretch.

    The forgotten man... max garcia

He's Kuglers guy. Brought in as a B/U, but who knows? Maybe he'll vie for C?

    Have a OL question

I'd start him right off at LG and watch him dominate. Pugh and Sweezy could battle it out at RG. Cole or whoever we draft to C. Lots of versatility in such an OLine.
  13. WildBB

    Have a OL question

I think Wirfs is by far the best mover and most versatile.

    Have a OL question

My real concern with Wirfs at T is his shorter arms, but he's a beast and by far the best athlete. Remember that our G's are pretty average and we always have problems in interior pass pro as well. Especially vs. Rams. But I'm good with all three.

Praying that this virus will now pass quickly, and that we will have a safe, viable and effective vaccine soon.

Source: Athletic Scouts analysis Of OL, (T) Some who we'd consider at #8 or on a trade back. Tristan Wirfs, Iowa (6-5, 320): His 4.87-second clocking tied Ball State’s Danny Pinter for the fastest 40. “I think he’s the first (offensive lineman) taken,” said one scout. “Him moving on the floor...

Yet another option in a loaded WR class.
  19. WildBB

    Have a OL question

Wirfs is more versatile, and Wills is as finished as there is. That said Thomas is right there. I'd hate to be the one to say this one is .1 better than the other two. It is extremely close. You have to go by fit and for us I believe it's Wirfs.

    A Wide Receiver Question

It's between Wirfs/Wills and Murray as well. None of the wideouts we drafted has Lamb's skillset, but we didn't use a #1 on them. They need another year. Wirfs will be an All Pro/Pro Bowl caliber wherever and Wills as well mtl.

Draft Prospects you have recently Flip Flop on

I think Lamb definately over Ruggs. But I'd prefer one of Wirfs or Wills. Keep building the offense.

    A Wide Receiver Question

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't draft a WR in the first four rounds. T, DL, RB, LB, IOL is how I see it playing out. It may change with a trade down and added picks. But remaining at eight fortifying the LOS makes all the sense right now. As a WC wideout I do like Johnson and Antonio...

    Derek Brown

I like Davidson but he and Kinlaw don't fit as well as Brown will. Plus Brown can move around to NT if need be on 3rd downs and really keep Peter's fresher at this point in his career. Brown was the one who always drew double teams at Auburn also.
  24. WildBB

    Derek Brown

I think D. Brown, C. Peters and J. Phillips would represent a stout and pretty massive upgrade up front and really free up the LB's to fly around and create havoc. I like Zach Allen but I'm not sure he's stout enough to hold up the whole season. Stud rotation piece though and great depth at DE...
