    The Rosen Problem

Goff isn't necessarily the issue, the difference & distinction between a Jeff Fisher led coaching staff vs a Sean McVay led coaching staff is the issue...not the QB. Goff needed a fair chance to succeed as does Rosen... Now if we do not see any development from Rosen with CK2 then it's...

Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

I will not speak on the height issue, but I can tell you from experience, putting 10-20 pounds makes a huge difference in durability. I am sure OUTCENT and a couple of the other ruggers on here will say the same thing, i experienced this in both football and over the last 25 years in rugby.

Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

I agree, but there are some things that are legit concerns, i.e. holding up over the course of an entire season at his size...Also, I am very worried that if the going gets tough, he will go play baseball...very few 1st round picks (let alone the possible overall 1st at the most important...

Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

No it wouldn't, but I would be worried about a 185 lb, 5'10" QB holding up for a season...I would have rather he put on the weight and was slower and said he made the decision to ensure he could hold up over the stretch of an entire football season rather than running a 4.3/40... The point is...

Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

Sure they can...but what if plays like Johnny Manziel vice Russell Wilson? If we DIDN'T have Rosen (and made the investment to grab him where we did) I think he would be worth the gamble...but like I mentioned, if we are calling it on Rosen after one year despite the circumstances, then I would...

Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

The biggest risk with Murray is if it doesn't work out, you have moved on from Rosen and now for the third draft in a row, you have to invest in the QBOF...and hope you get that right...in the meantime, you have blown thru rookie contracts on other key players and now have to pay them...this is...

Jordan Hicks to the Arizona Cardinals

Disagree with your disagreement...MIKE LB is way different than the 3-4 ILBs with regard to gap assignment, fits, reads, and space in most coverages...

Murray better display incredible arm talent or better get his butt in gear...he is late for spring training!

The Folly Of Keim's First Round Draft Picks

First round picks are fun to review, but I would suggest we remember that for most of those picks we were a competitive playoff team and in a lot of cases we were making "luxury" picks or PBA type picks...now that we are not a playoff caliber team (yet anyway) this year's picks are crucial to...

    Brett Hundley to Cards

Your right..and he will come to the same conclusion that John Pagano did with the Chargers and Joey Bosa, he will play Bosa on base downs at OLB and might have a special package with him putting hand in the dirt on pass plays

    Brett Hundley to Cards

He absolutely will use a one gap penetrator, but the DE still needs to contend with OL in-line blockers...265 vs a double team with each guy weighing 330-340? Will never work...I googled the top DEs currently playing in 3-4, the range was 285-290 on the light end and 320 on the heavier end...you...

BW, Show me ONE, 3-4, 5 tech DE who is 265lbs in the NFL that plays DE on every down... We need 300 plus DEs to take on 330-340 lb lineman at the point of attack to effectively run the 3-4

    Brett Hundley to Cards

BW, I do not know what your football background is, but man...I think you need to brush up on the fundamentals: 1. 265-270 is too light for a 5 tech DE. <FULL STOP> He will get destroyed at the point of attack with a guard and a tackle double teaming him. 2. You better hope if we use Bosa at...

    Brett Hundley to Cards

BW...you need to look up the difference between a 5 tech DE and 9 tech DE. 5 tech lines up heads up with the tackle, he is susceptible to combo blocks by in-line blockers. Because we are a one gap 3-4 scheme, depending on the play, alignment, and assignment he will have to disengage from an OT...

    Brett Hundley to Cards

Maybe in certain passing downs Bosa can play DE, but there is a reason a 5 tech DE is 300 lbs, so he can hold up against a double team by a OG and an OT. Agree with everything else.

Who will be our “splash” FA signing?

We need to be patient here, we have already made some solid moves before yesterday and the secondary market caused by cuts after a big FA signing always have hidden gems in it as teams chase the bigger, better deal.
