Bite your tongue there are now a bunch of flags that have to be explained like how did he do in interviews etc. And if they still use it the Wonderlic test scores to me these guys are going to get more money than 90% of us will see in our lifetime make damn sure they can actually do what is actually expected of them if any doubt what so ever Pass and go on to the next guy in line

Only the Murray-apologists don't see an issue with him skipping parts of his workouts. I can't remember a player with more question marks skipping such large parts of what is the normal draft evaluation process.

I know Lamar Jackson didn't run the 40 last year but I believe he threw? He won the Heisman too and had his questions (none of which were his size).

My god some of you people are nuts.

If any of you really believe after watching video of his games that he is not as fast as Wilson you should shut up and never talk about a draft prospect again.

If you can not clearly see on tape that Murray is fast as crap you're f'ng blind.

Same thing with his height, if he is actually 5'9 1/2 it changes absolutely nothing.

I am astonished at the level of hate he is receiving. I don't know where it is coming from. You guys act like we are trying to replace Tom Brady with Johnny Manziel and missing out on Lawrence Taylor to do it.

You all are crazy with hate.
We’re letting Markus Golden walk.

I think that gives more indication we’re drafting Kyler too.

Nonsense. You act like he the second coming of Russell Wilson and he has no questionable parts concerning fitting in the NFL.You are blinded by the hype. Its not hate questioning why the wannabe top pick refuses to run, refuses to get measured, and basically does nothing to answer any of the above questions. If he`s so freaking great why is he afraid to run or stand up and be measured? You Murray fans act like he is Russell/Michael Vick/Johnny Unitas rolled into one.Nick Bosa has a hell of lot better chsance of being Lawrence Taylor than Murray has of being RussellWilson/Michael Vick.

Does this worry me? nah.

Not running may be suspicious but the damn tape tells such a compelling story that all he could really do is under perform.

Not getting measured again...... Whatever. The combine always goes down as the definitive measurement, so i don't have any real issues with this.

Throwing? Meh..... The dude drops dimes all over the field.

At worst..... I'm disappointed that he doesn't have the balls to confirm what we all saw last season. he was the most dominant offensive player in college football..... Won the Heisman...... and did all of that at a height previously thought too small to have that kind of success with.

Good for him. IMO the tape doesn't lie..... He will be ours.

Pretty cool interview afterward. Was asked, “ do you know where you are going? With a very coy smile and a giggle he answered, “ no....no I don’t. I wish I could tell you , but I don’t.” Then was asked if he had any private workouts plan and he didn’t want to mention the teams. He was asked if one of the teams rhymed with marizona mardinals? He laughed. Seems like a likable kid. Also said he would beat Hollywood brown in the forty.

Bold talk for a kid who hasn`t run in front of scouts for months.

Your overninflated love fest for a 5’10” QB with one real year of legit college experience and a 10 yard drop is just as laughable. It’s over the top.. Considering history save one blip in the radar says he’s doomed to be a massive failure.

Not a risk you take with the #1 pick when you have 3 potentially elite defenders staring you straight in the eyes.

The Murray hate in here is ridiculous. Yet you could do research on what was said about Mahomes and Watson before the draft and it would be about the same: question marks and hate. Doubters everywhere.

To make it clear: I'm for keeping Rosen and drafting Bosa 1st overall. Or trading down to the highest bidder and pick up more valuable picks.

But! Murray can ball. He is very accurate and has a good arm. His placement, touch and anticipation are great. He can make people miss in space easily. All these facts can't be questioned and therefore it's ridiculous to not talk Murray when we talk the 1st overall pick.

The question isn't his game, not even his size to the degree we think, but the whole character, baseball and leadership stuff would be my only concern. That's what the Cards FO must evaluate.

I agree with you 100%

Amazing those talking his accuracy ...he led all of college football and that's not enough for them

They talk about a 40 time....Murray only averaged 7.7 yards per carry higher than Mike Vick And Jackson in college

They talk about his height...Murray only had 4 balls blocked by the D line ...the lowest in all of college football by every qb.

Murray only had the highest QB rating of ANY QB EVER TO PLAY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL....but that's still not enough

He won every game but 2 in college

He broke 6 QB ALL TIME RECORDS

He went 43-0 at the highest level of Texas High School Football

He won 3 State Championships

He won the Heisman

nope not enough....just admit you're haters

Some sound like the people who hate Brady...they can never wrap their head around how good someone actually is...they just love to hate...they can't answer one thing Murray didn't do right on the field on game days....not one thing.

Maybe cards have a deal with the jets so they get bosa with the number 1 pick, and we get the 3rd pick and still get Murray and screw the 49ers out of bosa

This guy could fly through the air and score on every drive and you'd still question the pick.

Just admit you are Murrayboy and on the wrong board Charger Boy.Yes iam a hater...I would hate the Cards to draft That short QB.If that's hate then so be it.

The biggest risk with Murray is if it doesn't work out, you have moved on from Rosen and now for the third draft in a row, you have to invest in the QBOF...and hope you get that right...in the meantime, you have blown thru rookie contracts on other key players and now have to pay them...this is not something we can afford to do and be competitive in the near future.

Go for the sure thing, develop and build around Rosen.

You campaign for offensive line as much as anyone here. What’s the likelihood that that Keim fixes the line before getting Murray or Rosen killed?

Really dumb decision not to run.

Height: I have already seen reporters say that they were in the room when he got measured and it was legit. So why weight but not height.

It's terrible advice from his agent.

Here was how he did on throws. Apparently he was impressive

Maybe there's something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about? Because I think any reasonable person would conclude the same as you have regarding running the 40. I don't understand the decision.

He doesn't have to run a 4.3 to prove he's "elite". Wilson ran a 4.55, Manziel a 4.65, and Mayfield a 4.8.

If he could just post a 4.45, that would be "elite" enough, along with his proven QB ability, to justify at least a top five pick.

Previously I felt confident he could run under 4.5. Now, I'm not sure. And, if he really is a 4.65 guy, then no, I don't think we should spend the first pick in the draft on him. My whole proposition for drafting him is that he is at least the athletic equivalent of Wilson, but for some unknown reason, he's unwilling to try to prove this is true.

On it's face, it's impossible to defend.
I agree that all he needs to show is 4.45 speed and you can defend taking him by stating that he is a premier athlete. I also don't understand what the hell he is doing and why is being advised this way.

You do know that no matter how many times you type this out it’s not going to make him a guaranteed successful NFL quarterback right? Lol... I sure hope you have that I denticle post safe somewhere for a copy and paste rather than typing it out there at least 10 times I’ve seen it..

Lol

I’m on the Rosen side of the fence , however , couldn’t the cards build a team around Murray minus 1 player?

Nobody doubts his speed on tape. We doubt his speed at a weight above 200 pounds. The tape speed is likely at about 180 pounds.
Finding any glimmer of light as you look for a reason to continue to bag on him.

The dude is flat out lightning on the field.

At this point I'm just glad you guys are quoting 5'10" now.

Like my own personal views.... i would never expect your hearts or minds to be swayed much by any of this process.

He is a truly polarizing prospect with literally no historical comps. Only time will tell now.

Key word 'potentially' ...and that's the word with EVERY draft pick. Bosa has been injured ...but looks the part. Q - very undersized and Allen is a 3-4 who's weight is low for the line....
Murray, Bosa and Allen IMO are all good choices.
My bet is the Cards trade down to 4 OR they trade Rosen for the 16th pick (Giants) and they take Murray with 1.

So 20 pounds is going to drop his 40 by .3 or .4 of a second? Give me a break. 20 pounds would mean .15 of a second at the most.

As soon as this pre draft BS ends he will play at whatever weight he is best at whether that be 180, 190, or 200. In reality a 1/10 of an inch of fat does not protect from injury unlike all these draft analysts and haters would have you believe.
