Reminds me a little of Mario Elie in that he's a winning player (lots of clutch plays for a fringe rotation guy), good shooter, and has a nice old-school floater game.

Ingram is more of a 3 and Hayes gives no spacing. Smith would make some sense there. To be clear, I'm not claiming I think they would have taken him, merely disputing the claim that nobody was talking about him in those spots.

I like Payne, but Augustin is an upgrade and a much bigger certainty. Would provide some CP3 insurance as well, as he would likely be capable of starting for a few weeks and holding down the fort if necessary.

Obviously, if we can luck into a bargain at the MLE (like Ibaka or one of the bigger free agents who don't get their desired contract), that is ideal. But of the guys I see as likely and realistic targets with at least some of the MLE...I think Holiday is the best fit. Definitely open to...

My fearless prediction as our main signing, based on need and fit (as well as resources available): Justin Holiday Smart player, excellent shooter and defender, makes quick decisions, and can play the 2 and 3. Like a Mikal Bridges without star upside.

I agree with this, but ultimately I think we're better off with a guy who considers team chemistry and composition while maybe sacrificing asset value a bit than a guy who maximizes asset return but ultimately alienates players and fails to put players in a position to succeed. Of course, the...
