Judging by his assist numbers, he's not much of a distributor, but he seems to have a respectable 3 point shot, averaging 39% for his career.

This is from the Sixerswire:

Ky Carlin 11/12/2020

The Atheltic’s John Hollinger had this to say about Moore and his free agency prospects:

Teams looking for cheap shooting could do a lot worse than this guy. He got lost in a jumbled New Orleans guard rotation and finished with a mere 51.0 TS% — no bueno for a floor spacer. Certainly, at 31 his best days are behind him. Nonetheless, he’s a pretty good defender for a floor spacer, and even last season he knocked down 37.7 percent from 3. Moore also has a pretty wicked floater game when he’s rolling, though the rest of his off-the-dribble package is quite limited.

From Arizona Sports:

Moore brings an offensive punch to the second unit. He’s a career 45.5% shooter from the field and 39.0% at three-point range, a combo guard that knows how to pick his spots offensively.

The nine-year veteran has played for four different NBA teams, spending his last four seasons with New Orleans. He’ll compete with guards Cameron Payne and Jevon Carter for minutes off the bench.

Good get! I'm familiar with his name and stats, but not his game. Can he handle the ball, or is he just a small SG?

Another 3 and D player, can defend either backcourt position.

Suns are going to be relying heavily on team passing whenever Paul and Booker are off the court, no one else has really proven to be able to create on their own.

I'd give him one more year to see if he can put it together in his 3rd season.

Pretty sure he contract becomes fully guaranteed if they pick it up this year. So it's either cut ties now at no cost or a 2 year commitment. I think it's likely he is gone but if they bring him back they must feel there is something there to develop.

Maybe kind of like Troy Daniels, but with better defense (6'3" with a 6'9" wingspan) and a little more playmaking ability?

Edit: Looking at him play he has a lot more ability with the ball than Daniels does.

Hopefully Moore is more helpful than Troy Daniels. It seemed like Daniels would disappear in games.

Daniels had one thing—shooting. Moore shoots defends, passes a little and has a real nice floater. He has a Mikal Bridges “whatever the team wants I will do” personality.

Every player Jones adds can shoot the three and defends—even the rookies.

Meh. The Suns have too many catch and shoot guys, and Booker and Paul are the only guys who can create offense. Unless one of Booker or Paul is in the game, this offense is going to hit a brick wall.

I remember him from his Orlando Magic days 6-8 years ago. He filled in as a starter due to injuries at different times, at both PG and SG. A 6’3” SG who can handle PG duties when needed. Willing to defend. Moore (31), Chris Paul (35) and Jae Crowder (30) are the only players on the roster that are currently 30 or older.
He should definitely help stabilize the second unit; Good addition!

The Suns could being in Larry Bird and youd be Meh

We need another creator on offense. Paul and Booker are the only ones who can create for themselves and others. We haven't solved the clear problem we will have when neither Paul nor Booker is in the game.

Outside of Paul, we didn't add any difference makers this offseason. Consider what we have seen from the LA teams, the Warriors, the Nuggets, the Blazers, the Mavericks and the Pelicans, that is worrisome.

He’s not a bad get for the min, but he’s not really an efficient player either.

George hill would have been much better, but I guess that was just bad luck.

All other things being considered this is a fine get at this juncture.
