I never said it was the only trade available. But I think you and many others are way overvaluing Butlers trade value. The only teams that I think would consider him is a veteran team aiming for the title this year, and you are not going to want to trade for Butler if you aren't on his pre...

That is your opinion. Your opinion is not the same as the Miami Heat management. I don't know what their opinion is, but they were apparently at least a little interested in Beal 2 years ago when his contract had 2 more years on it.

Butler is 35 and apparently no longer wants to be there. The question is really this simple - is Beal and his contract more valuable than nothing to the Heat. Basically do they see him as having any positive value. Also it may seem like a minor thing, but keeping agents and star players...

Gambo said the deal can be done without involving a third team. All it requires is for Miami to throw in any player on a minimum contract. They can sign somebody off the street to do that if they want to. The trade is actually very doable.

Nope. We won't throw in a #1. That would be idiotic. Even I have more faith in Ishbia than that. I'm not saying Miami really wants Beal. Just saying they may want him more than nothing in return for Butler - maybe. Beal is a much more valuable player when he is the primary scorer.

Wishful thinking. Ishbia is in denial.

I bet Beal would be fine going to Miami. How could he be happy, he is a clear third wheel and the Suns just aren't very good.

He fits a bit better because he can play small forward and rebound some, and he is clutch. I don't think that is nearly enough though to get through the Boston's and OKC's of the world though.

You are looking at it wrong. What it would do is get us out of the 2nd apron for next year when Butler leaves as a free agent. To me that is more valuable than either Beal or Jimmy Butler.

I don't know if I agree that it makes no sense for the Heat. I actually think Beal would thrive if he is once again put into being the primary scorer on a team. Jimmy Butler is old and likely won't resign, if they value Beal at all they might actually like the fact he will stay beyond this...

I don't think adding Butler makes us a contender, but what it would do is allow us to dump Beal's contract. So I would be for the move, as long as we don't resign Butler to a big deal after his contract expires at the end of the year.

You like that we never actually try to throw past the sticks on a 3rd and long? Or frequently try to run on 3rd and 5 or 6 to trick the D? You like that we typically don't even take one shot down the field per game? He is WAY WAY to conservative.

    Fire Petzing now

People are saying he is a checkdown charlie because Petzing is scared of him turning it over. My point is - if that is true that is a Petzing problem not a Kyler problem because under Kliff he threw downfield more often and was successful at it. I will admit in the 2 or 3 really meaningful...

Where do we go from here?

That is clearly not enough. Nor do I see any such player that exists that is available for our meager trade assets

Where do we go from here?

Probably correct. Don't see any signs of it yet.

Where do we go from here?

Because it is very hard for someone to admit they have made a mistake.

Yeah, I know he is flawed. He's still good enough to win with if the rest of the team is high enough quality and the right plays are called. What is crazy is thinking there is someone better available than him next year - there isn't and that is obvious.

Where do we go from here?

It's not happening. Ishbia is going to go down with the ship. Maybe if we are lucky they make a move in the offseason, but there is no chance of anything happening till then and if somehow the Suns made it to the 2nd round they will keep them together again for sure.

Where do we go from here?

It's not just predicated on them being healthy, it is predicated on Book playing like a top 10 player, and Beal playing like a top 30 guy. Neither of those are remotely happening either.

Where do we go from here?

This is a silly question to me because I know what the right thing is to do, and what is actually going to happen. The right thing to do is trade KD, and maybe Booker. The impossible thing to do is trade Beal The thing that is going to happen is they are keeping all three and we will lose in...

I don't get this overreaction that Kyler is some kind of turnover prone QB. He has never been particularly turnover prone. I get people are really pissed at him, but the amount of people on here ready to ditch him because he just had a 2 interception game is insane to me. I just am not buying...
