How long until Bronny getting playing time over other guys starts to mess up Lakers locker room?

Makes sense as to why they cut bait with Monty once they realized he was stubborn as the day is long.

And really, a different era, too. The NBA is totally catch and shoot now, where in Lebron's early career, you still had to play all the way to the hoop and it hence was a more physical game. Just look at the scoring (and defensive) trends between now and then.

It probably didn't help that we had a coach who seemingly used a dart board to decide what lineups he would use and who would get playing time when.

ASU Football 2024 - Regular Season

Yeah, it's too bad he bailed. Imagine how much more effective the offense would be this season if he and Conyers had stayed.

    ASU @ Cincinnati Saturday 10/19

They probably still need some talent at a few spots. I expected them to be a bit over their skis with all of the hype after last week's win and losing their starting QB. Cincinnati is no pushover, especially at home. And ASU is still a work in progress, so it's not all that big a deal to lose...

    ASU @ Cincinnati Saturday 10/19

I think the Leavitt injury really took the wind out of their sails. We will see if they can recoup the rest of the season.

Lakers @ Suns Thursday game thread, October 17th, 2024: Preseason

Preseason... and I wouldn't read too much into it. I think the one thing for the Suns is they pretty much definitively figured out who will be cut from the final roster.

Suns @ Nuggets Sunday game thread, October 13th, 2024: Preseason

And Zion definitely wouldn't want the Pelicans to give up the ham sandwich for Ayton.

I anticipated such. That's why I was really hoping he could somehow have lasted until the Suns pick... he would have pretty much instantly solved our interior size issue. Of course, after he shot up people's draft boards, that was that. As a sidebar, anyone who still doesn't think size and post...

Ryan Dunn - the Real Deal or Beginner's Luck?

Before anyone gets too carried away (after a few preseason games), Dunn A) has to do it in the regular season, and B) do it with some regular consistency. I mean he looks at present like he could at least turn into a contributor if he keeps it up. But before anyone can legitimately call him "the...

ASU Football 2024 - Regular Season

Road game will be a challenge, for sure. I still feel confident they will make it to .500, and anything beyond is gravy. I am not going to jump to high expectations just yet, unless they somehow pull out the next couple on the road. Then I'll jump on the bandwagon.

They should trade for Ayton. I hear he's likely to be available.

    Utah @ ASU Friday 10/11

I hope ASU keeps flying under the radar, and winning these hard fought games. Being overly hyped won't work in their favor as much as being unsung and underrated, in my opinion.

Suns changes to Scouting and Player Programming

Fair enough, but I will always still maintain he got far too much credit for it... and deserves a lot of blame for the Suns faltering since. Honestly, If he didn't come across as arrogant as he does every time he's questioned about the Suns failures, I would be far more inclined to overlook his...

Suns changes to Scouting and Player Programming

Honestly, I think the turnaround was more coincidence than cause and effect. Maybe give Jones credit for bringing in Monty, which led to Chris Paul wanting to come here. Other than that, most everything else in terms of key personnel that led to their ascent was either McDonough (Booker, Ayton...

Six wins and a bowl game seems very likely now... at a minimum. Good turnaround for the program.

The One Stat Why We Are Out of the Playoffs

Sorry DBack fans. I thought for sure you guys were in. As a Phils fan, would have much more liked to see you guys in than the Mets (uggh!) or Braves (double uggh!!).

    RIP: Pete Rose (1941-2024)

Unbelievable how many iconic figures are shuffling off lately. Love or hate him (and I did both at various times), as a Phillies fan, I have to acknowledge Pete's contribution to the sport. RIP.

So what you're really saying is that 80% of the NBA has some type of Frank Kaminsky on their roster?
