Suns Announce Plans for a G-League Team in 2024-25

Oh, I do... but I wasn't counting him because he was already basically on the team, more or less.

NBA Finals Boston vs Dallas (poll)

Indeed... Lorenzo and Russ are fans of "enemy" teams (well, I see them as enemy teams :D), but good guys on the forum.

Suns Announce Plans for a G-League Team in 2024-25

Mudiay, Okafor, and Valentine are the only guys I ever heard of.

Dang... another legend of the sport. Just weeks after Bill Walton. RIP, Jerry... an absolute NBA icon.

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

Maybe. But not working out any first round talent seems... ominous.

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

It's also interesting that everyone the Suns have brought in for workouts have been universally second rounders (or undrafted) on every draft board I've seen.

Ironically (or not), three of them are guys the Suns previously dumped.

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

Two undersized wings, one older finesse forward... and Bronny James. Yup, that pretty much checks all of the James Jones boxes.

Trade him to OKC for some package that includes Giddey, Dort, another of their promising youngsters, and a package of draft choices.

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

There are really just three possibilities: Jones is helping out his buddy Lebron by feigning the Suns interest in Bronny to scare the Lakers into taking him, Lebron coming to the Suns if they get Bronny is a real thing, or that James Jones is an idiot and is convinced that somehow taking Bronny...

    2023-24 Around the NBA Thread

Well, Brad Stevens worked out exceedingly well for the Celtics, which I have to admit I didn't expect. So I guess Lakers are trying to catch that same wave. Who knows, lightning might strike twice?

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Let's not neglect the fact that part of the reason we don't have players at those positions is because James Jones doesn't think we need a PG, PF, or C. Every time there has been a possibility of making moves to fill those spots, Jones inevitably instead goes after another undersized wing...

Reportedly, Ham turned down the Suns. I wonder if that plays at all into the Lebron rumors?

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Indeed... but everyone should have had serious doubts about Jones long before that. The fact that we're talking about James Jones only confirms the likelihood that whatever the Suns eventually end up doing regarding this situation is about 90% likely to be foolish.

Mike Budenholzer - Officially Suns new Head Coach

A better showing in the post-season than the "what time is the first flight to Cancun?" way they played against Minnesota, and I might be inclined to agree with you.

    The 2024 NBA playoffs thread

As history has long proven, even if we had assets to trade, Jones would have fumbled it and/or sat on his hands. Or we would have (even more likely) gotten to see a third run of "The Torrey Craig Show" which Jones seems to view as an eternal solution to every problem. I also wouldn't ignore...

    The 2024 NBA playoffs thread

Props to the Mavericks front office. They made smart moves at the deadline that pushed them over the top. Without the Gafford/Washington trade, they'd be home just like the Suns right about now. It must be nice to have a GM who isn't a clown.

    RIP: Bill Walton (1952-2024)

My first day on campus as an undergrad at Stanford, tallest redheaded dude I've ever seen rides by on a ten speed. It was Bill Walton, who happened to be attending Stanford Law School at the time. Excitedly pointed it out to my parents who were with me, and they had no idea who he was and...

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

They owe their first rounder to NO, but NO can defer that to next year, which they are supposedly considering. The Lakers also have their second rounder. Lebron just wants the Lakers (and/or Suns, possibly, too) to draft his kid wherever.

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

Ishbia wouldn't. James Jones certainly would... and all he (and Lebron) have to do is convince Ishibia that Lebron is legitimately considering coming here if we draft Bronny. Meanwhile, the Lakers have to consider the possibility of Lebron leaving if they don't grant his wish and draft his son...

Sad to hear. One of the all time greatest college basketball players, without question. And a darn entertaining basketball analyst.
