    As the day gets closer, you get a letter from them telling you when to expect the phone call. My father and I already have a pair of seats, but in November, I added a couple of entries on the waiting list. That November deposit is getting me a call on Wednesday the 20th between 9 and noon.

    I respect the position of my fellow fan, but I know he wants to cheer on the team next season. I'm sure that, in time, he and management will come to terms. It may not be before preseason is over, but when push comes to shove, he'll show his commitment and be there for the regular season opener.

    Wow, apparently I can't read. My tickets went up by $5 per game from $92.50 per game last year to $97.50 per game this year. Oh well, they know I'll pay it because I'm just that devoted, recession or not. And before you ask, last year it was $92.50 + $4.75. This year it's $97.50 + $5.00.

    In retrospect, it's cheaper to just go to the Super Bowl city and buy whatever tickets you want than to count on the team to provide them. Even when buying from scalpers, you can get tickets that are in line with face value or slightly higher, but you don't have to invest big money every year...

    I saw an interview with Roger Goodell who bragged that 75% of the teams are not raising their prices in the coming year. That still leaves 25% going up. We'll know for sure soon.
