    Speculation on final big man

The Suns situation is simple. They have perhaps $1.5 in cap space and their $3.7 TE. The cap space is not enough to get anyone who has other options, but might make a difference if it gets close to training camp and a guy decides to take a small deal rather than wait by the phone. My guess...

    Old Gambo Rumor

Why? There has been nothing reported that KT's injury was in any way career threating. As for his per game minutes, it is important to remember than he always had the toughest defensive assignment which is why he ended up with foul problems. In Jan, KT averaged 30.9 minutes a game and had...

    Old Gambo Rumor

:moon: This is so dumb I can't believe it. Here's the simple math. PF + C = 96 available minutes. PF and C at 35 each is 70. 96-70=26. With Amare's knees, there is no reason to believe he will play 35 minutes a game with 30 more likely, leaving 31 minutes inside. Even accounting for small...

    Amare Stoudemire-Mama Said Knock You

One reason Amare keeps getting compared to Malone is his strength. The ability to finish with guys fouling is one of the most intimidating skills in the NBA. Defenders get away with fouls all the time and it that doesn't work...

    What About Jones?

I think Jones may end up seeing as many minutes inside as on the wing. He showed he can battle inside if he puts his mind to it, and would give the Suns another three point shooter when they pack the paint.

    Spurs break out the Metamucil

I know that Timmy, Manu, and Parker are very good and Bowen is a very good defender - but Elson as their starting center? They almost traded their sixth man (in terms of minutes), Brent Barry, for JR Smith. Their big acquision is -- Bonner? Maybe they really know what they're doing, but with...

Amare injury documentary in the works

Amare does not back down from pressure and putting his rehab on film is more pressure, but I had no fear he'd sit back and enjoy his millions.

Balance of Power In West Much The Same

    I guess I missed it.

    Speculation on final big man

Their stats are really similar. The difference is that Marks has been in the NBA a while, so it is hard to imagine he's going to get any better. Burke struggled with the switch from European ball, so he might get better. Still, I'm not counting on him to be a major contributor. In any case, I...

    Spurs break out the Metamucil

Actually, older teams are the ones that hurt the most by nagging injuries. As for the Mavs being lucky, I tend to agree. It is not clear they can deal with the Suns speed with Diop or Dampier in the lineup, but can't really go small.

    What About Jones?

James Jones' shooting fell off during the playoffs and now it seems most people have just written him off. I think that's a mistake. First, he's only had three years in the NBA. A lot of veterans struggle in their first serious playoff environment. Does anyone remember Joe Johnson's stinker...

    Spurs break out the Metamucil

As long as division winners get priority, there is a chance that three teams in one division will have a better record than one of the division winners.

    Speculation on final big man

I'm not sure what the Suns see in Marks.

    Speculation on final big man

Pollard played only 47 games last season. He's too much of an injury risk for more than the minimum.

Balance of Power In West Much The Same

Baring a blockbuster trade or unexpected free agent signing, it looks like the top four teams will be (again) the Mavs, Suns, Clippers, and Spurs. The Spurs traded Nesto and lost Mohamed, so I think they could drop from the elite. Duncan's on and off foot problems will become the center of...

    Trade For Elson?

I thought a team could arrange a sign and trade deal prior to the deadline, such as what the Suns did with JJ. Clearly after the deadline, it is a done deal.

    Nash Shaves Head

Now he'll lose his super human strength. No, wait, that was Sampson. ;)

    A note on KT

I know that local sports guys like Gambo and Ash seem to be pushing for a KT trade, but I haven't seen a "real rumor" about KT being traded (as opposed to just a sports writer with nothing better to do). The only way trading KT makes sense is for another center. I know the Suns had some luck...

    Speculation on final big man

Wright seems to have problems with his coaches, but he's probably the best unrestricted big on the FA board right now. Problem is that while he might take a small contract, there is no way the Griz do anything to help the Suns. Cato was too slow for the Pistons. :thud:

    Spurs break out the Metamucil

Have they changed the rules about seeding that meant the division winners go 1,2,3?

    Speculation on final big man

More on Lampe. Here is from an interview of Weber on Suns.com Lampe's stats in Las Vegas were decent, but it is summer league: 18.2 minutes: 10.2 ppg 4.8 rpg 65.5% shooting, 3 for 3 from beyond the arc

    Trade For Elson?

This is from the Rocky Mountain News: If the Nuggets match, they could trade him for picks as he'd be within the TE. Personally, I think they'll keep him but Elson is not a bad pickup for the price. Francisco Elson Denver Nuggets Position: C Height: 7-0 Weight: 235 College...

    Spurs break out the Metamucil

The Spurs are in great risk of falling to fourth seed, where they would have to deal with a team like the Clippers in the first round. Make no mistake, trading Nesto and losing Mohamed (they combined for 36 minutes a game and 9.2 rpg) will radically alter the Spurs strength inside. Even with...

    Speculation on final big man

The Suns traded Lampe because they needed Jimmy Jackson, not because they thought he was a lost cause. My guess is the Suns have offered him a minimum deal and his agent is shopping for more. Case against Lampe: 1. He's like most Euros in that he doesn't seem to deal well with contact...

Marcus Banks Has Officially Signed w/the Suns!!!!!!

No one said it was original. :p Still, tt is not impossible that all three could be in the lineup at the same time which I doubt Al McCoy could fail to note. Shahzam
