    Love my Suns, but Diaw?

I am tired on this hate on Diaw. In March he averaged 11.1/4.9/3.7, 52.8 FG%, 33 3P%, 86 FT% (but also 2TOs) in only 26 minutes. This is far from a bad production. But it is never enough. When he pass on open jumpers he should have take them. When he takes these jumpers he is accused of...

since the turnaround game vs spurs

IMO this stat just means we have a lot of easy basket in transition (and that we have talented player but we already knew that).

rank best playoff matchups for the suns

I don't want to play NO or the Spurs. For the Lakers it all depends on their health. I don't want to play them at full strength. I would not be happy with Utah. I don't really care about other teams. No easy matchup this year (ok, maybe houston).

since the turnaround game vs spurs

These are numbers for a full season not a stretch of game. Let see if Shaq /Amare can keep the rhythm until the NBA finals.

    Golden State v. Suns 03/13/08

I take the one who plays hard and hope he will adjust to his new agressivity and avoid stupid plays.

    Golden State v. Suns 03/13/08

Do you prefer the 2 pt/2 rbd/2 ast 0 TO Diaw or the one who at least tries to play hard and make a couple of mistakes?

    Fire Dantoni

I could not resist to the "Yes NOW!!" vote, but "After the season" is probably better.

    Time to panic?

On the offensive end we have all the firepower we need. But without defense this team is going nowhere. After the Shaq trade everybody agreed that we needed some additional perimeter defense. And now? We have another guy who can't spell defense in Giricek and a marginal role player (who is at...

New and Improved 2008 Draft Prospects Thread

This weekend Batum had his best game in the French league in a OT win over Le Havre. 21 pts (9/15, 1/4 3pt, 2/3 FT) 12 rbds (7O, 5D) 3 ast, 3 blk, 3 stl. This game comes after a 4 games slump for Batum. His young teammate Diot, the other Le Mans prospect, also had a good game (9 pts/4 asts)...

    HELLO rebounding!

It doesn't change that the Lakers had only 26 out of 42 defensive rebounds (62 %) and we had 30 out of 37 (81 %). It is to early to be considered a trend... but it is at least a positive sign in that loss.

OT: 60% of Players Broke 5 Years After Retiring

You forgot that even a terrible NBA player will find a contract somewhere in Europe (he would never have been an NBA player if he was that bad) and let his money untouched for 5 more years. I think about players like Moiso who is playing in one of the best European team or even to Larry Stewart...

    Better Rebounding Team W/O Marion?

They are also in different leagues according to numbers. Rodman was ALSO one of the best opportunistic rebounder. I stop there, I didn't mean to compare Marion to Rodman.

    Better Rebounding Team W/O Marion?

I knew there would have such reactions :) I don't compare Marion to Rodman, I just mean that SOMETIME Shawn appetite for rebound remind me of Rodman (who is obviously a player in his own category). I believe that with a better attitude Diaw could be the rebounder Marion is (he is bigger and has...

    What about the 13th Player?

Yes. I am afraid Pietrus is not the smartest dude in the NBA.

    What about the 13th Player?

Pietrus: Outstanding athletism. Very Good defender. I saw him as a future lockdown defender but it looks like his willing to be considered as a legitimate offensive option make him less focus on defense (his biggest mistake IMO). He can use his athletism to grab a fair amount of rebounds. On...

New and Improved 2008 Draft Prospects Thread

Batum is not so inconsistent in the French league, he scored in double digit in 7 of his last 8 games and has a double digits ranking in 15 of his last 16 games. In the Euroleague the story was different but it is not so surprising Le Mans being often completely overmatch in these games (and 8.5...

New and Improved 2008 Draft Prospects Thread

One of Ajinca weakness on defense was his average lateral quickness. Did he improve in that compartiment? A big question on Ajinca is how he will adapt against player his size (there is almost no player over 6'9 in the French league). I read that he has added some weight lately (even if it...

New and Improved 2008 Draft Prospects Thread

Last week it was the "Semaine des As" in France ( a competition similar to the Copa del Rey in Spain). For one week, the top 8 teams fight for the first title of the season. This was the occasion to see a bunch of young French prospects in action in a competition with quiet surprinsing results...

    What about the 13th Player?

Gelabale is a good player with strong defense but is not a very consistent jumpshot. He had a couple of good games last year with Allen and Lewis injuries. I saw him play with the French team and IMO he is a better player than Pietrus he is smarter and doesn't make a lot of mistake, his very...
