What, are you saying usually when a team takes a double digit lead early it lasts the entire game?
Sure, sometimes, but most times games get close for a bit.
I like how everyone bitches about the Suns giving up a large early lead as if that's not standard practice for every team in the NBA. Teams go on runs, it happens.
As for the defense, I dunno. It seemed like every time the Cats scored to take the lead the defense allowed a scoring drive the very next drive. Hard to win games like that when the offense never gets a chance to extend its lead.
What opportunities are you talking about? Garbage time minutes after not having played with the starters? I know it was preseason, but when Leinart got significant time (entire quarters, halves) he looked pretty damn good out there.
The Rodgers comparison is off because he was never the...
I believe at some point Rod Graves said (before the draft) that if Vince Young fell to 10 he'd personally drive to the airport to pick him up. Young would have been their choice.
As for Leinart's career, I think he would have experienced some success in Tennessee just as I think he would...
When it comes to the The Onion you know what you are going to get - pure satire. They never pretend to be an actual news site.
They crossed no line, they did what they always do, and that's present ridiculously funny stories in the form of news.
Solid write up, but it seems you point to Warner's problems and say they must be caused by one (or many) outside factors. Sure, that could be, but what isn't mentioned is the possibility that Warner's skills have deteriorated since last year.
It was never 21-0.
Kurt sucked yesterday, but I have no problem with him finishing the game. Bringing in Leinart with the same game plan isn't exactly the best spot for him either, given that he doesn't get the chance to work with a fresh slate in the game.
That is just plain not true. The Grizzlies sold Pau Gasol for nothing, pretty sure the Hornets are trimming payroll. I'm not sure who else has been sold or is looking to sell, but teams selling off assets before a sale is nothing new and certainly not something the Suns and Sarver have invented.
Camby and Kaman did a lot of work on the outside. One, not much you can do if they're hitting those and two, if he's out on the perimeter trying to D up he's not around the hoop for boards.
Jesus.
That much I'll give you and I understand. I wish I knew more about why some games he beasts and others he's just not there. I'm not sure if it's an effort thing (though that would be an easy thing to point to).
I like how if Amare, a career 8.9 rebounds per game guy, could grab one more board a night he'd be considered a good rebounding PF.
The guy isn't Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. Doesn't mean he's not good or valuable.
