    We just killed the draft

For what it's worth CBSSportsline gave Cards A+ on these two late picks: Cardinals: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M Swope is an extremely savvy and productive route runner who opened a lot of eyes with his blazing 40 time at the combine. Something of an inexplicable faller in this draft, Swope is a...

ASFN: Official 2013 NFL Draft Thread

Lincoln was once asked to settle an argument about how long a man's legs should be and his response was "long enough to reach the ground". I guess will have to wait an see if his are!

Cards 3rd pick: FS - Tyrann Mathieu

This was posted on ESPN Draftcast right after the pick by one of their writers... "...Steal of the draft if he keeps his life together way to go Arizona...."

The 5: Worst top 10 picks in Cardinals history

And I forgot to mention MacArthur Lane. He never rushed for 1000 yards after leaving the Cards and scored 15 TDs in the next 7 years. Donnie Anderson, for whom he was traded, was an integral part of the '73 & '74 play-off teams. He was "Mr. Outside" to Jim Ottis' "Mr. Inside" and scored 25 TD's...

The 5: Worst top 10 picks in Cardinals history

First and foremost several of the people you have listed here left as FA's and were not traded or released. There was nothing that could be done to prevent them from leaving if the wouldn't play for the money the Cards offered. Dave Butz was traded for (2) 1st round picks AND a 2nd round...

The 5: Worst top 10 picks in Cardinals history

Larry Wilson was a 7th round pick in 1960 so if we going to talk about best picks ever....also Thomas Jones failed on two teams before finding himself with the Bears so lets not be so quick to say we let a star get away. He was so bad in Tampa that they let him go to FA without even making an offer.

    Bengals signed Harrison over

Karlos Dansby, even though dansby is 5 years younger. They gave Harrison a 2 year deal to boot. Have Dansby's skills eroded that much or he's just asking for too much?

    Cribbs failed physical

It still hurts to think about 1964 and giving Lombardi's Packers their only post-season loss.

    Beanie Wells Released

Even if he goes on to be a star somewhere else, this was the right move. The guy was never on the field. Period. Leland McKilroy, part II.

It appears the team is in re-build mode: It is time to trade Fitzgerald

The "right thing to do"? What the hell does that mean? The "right thing to do" was to give him that contract so he'd be happy to stay. The "right thing" has nothing to do with pro-sports as a buisness. Fitz is not going anywhere unless we get 3 1st round picks for him, and since that's not going...

Trade out of first round, collect picks for 2013

This is right on the money. The original premise of the post, that there were 6-8 blue chip players, belies the conclusion to trade down. I don't care what position, if the player available's a potential star, you take him. The hell with that, lets build for 2014 crap.

My Big Board for Cards pick at 7

If Jarvis Jones is on the board at 7 we have to take him IMO. And that guy from LSU, is it Mingo, wouldn't be a bad choice either. If we're interested at all in the QB's from NCS or Arkansas, they'll be there in round two.

Cards at Chickens 12/9/12 promise to stay positive game thread

The Seahawks are making fools of them, the announcers and everyone else knows the game is over and it just has to be endured for another 2 hours. Skelton is every bit as bad as Lindley.

A few thoughts after 55 years....

I have been a Cardinals fan since 1957 and in all that time, including Terry Nofsinger, Buddy Humphrey, Gary Cuozzo, and numerous others, no one, and I repeat no one has played as bad and looked as bad as Lindley did today. He made Max Hall look like an All Pro. He looked lost and acted that...

100% in agreement. Missing Fitz was the end of the line and the msg was loud and clear when he went with Lindley.
