    That is freaking excellent. Not waiting until the very end of a rookie deal to extend someone is a refreshing change of pace. Because we have a long history of letting good players walk at the end of their rookie deals because we couldn't get an extension done in a timely manner.

    He has that nasty competitor streak which I think Gannon would love about him. But I would put him behind both Nolen and Stewart, realizing they play different positions. But compared to BJ when he was in the draft? Scourton is a superior prospect. IMO.

    The game that really broke the back of our good playoff chances was Dec 8th at home against Seattle. If we had won that game we would have been back in first place by tiebreaker. We were officially eliminated when we lost to Carolina on the 22nd.

    The draft is a crap shoot no matter where you pick and what position you pick. The higher you draft the better odds you have hitting it. But you still get odds.

    If Will Johnson is there at #16 he would be a terrific pick. I doubt he will be but I would have no problem with a pick like that.

    Take BPA regardless of position. As much as I have beat the drum for a dominant level DT for years I am not locked into any one position. I think DT is so deep in this draft that BPA at #16 is very likely a DT.

    If it wasn't so hard to get even a mid level QB he would be gone already. The problem of replacing Kyler is due to the lack of QB talent. "He is so mid." Ok, but even mid QBs are hard to find.

    You could argue that. If you are counting beans and making piles that makes sense. But we could well have a chance to create a dominant unit with one more special, dynamic piece. I would absolutely take Grant or Nolen if they are there.
