Overall - 11w - 5L

In my opinion, we have the chance to win 11 games this season, especially if we can stay consistent and play up to our potential. Maybe i'm just being overly optimistic, but 11 games seems very plausible when you look at the schedule.

What are your predictions for this season?

But then again, I tend to be overly optimistic. This is simply me forcing myself to be only very slightly realistic. It's my way.

14 wins would be extremely hard to do, if we can stay consistent in every facet of the game, then anything is possible.

6-2 at home and 4-4 on the road. I'm not going to guess where the wins come but that will be our record.

Wk.1 - vs. 49ers - Win (Home opener)

Wk.2 - @ Jags - Win (Want to prove something with win on road)

Wk.3 - vs. Colts - Win (Close game but home crowd really shows up to help a win)

Wk.4 - Bye

Wk.5 - vs.Texans - Win (Don't think they have the secondary to stop us...at all)

Wk.6 - @ Seahawks - Lose (Seahawks will be better...Winning in there house will be very hard)

Wk.7 - @ Giants - Lose (Giants on the road...nuff said)

Wk.8 - vs. Panthers - Win (Just watch last years playoff game at THEIR house...Shut down Steve Smith and make Jake force passes)

Wk.9 - @ Bears - Win (This time of year shouldn't be that bad. Nov 9th is the game...Any later and I would do a loss but as a fan I have alot of hope for a good conditioned game)

Wk.10 - vs. Seahawks - Win (Having beat us once already this year I don't think our team loses again...especially at home)

Wk.11 - @ Rams - Win (Can't stop us in their house or ours)

Wk.12 - @ Titans - Lose (Very tough game in my opinion to win on the road)

Wk.13 - vs. Vikings - Win (Still a bitter taste getting beat last year)

Wk.14 - @ 49ers - Lose (Very tough game late in the season. We should be up on our division rivals by this poing and I think the 9ers will be close and desperately needing this win...especially against us)

Wk.15 - @ Lions - Win (Suprisingly close game)

Wk.16 - vs. Rams - Win (See above rams game)

Wk.17 - vs. Packers - Lose (Right before the playoffs we should have the season locked up in our division. If we are close to being a higher seed in the playoffs I put a win but watching this team play last year after we secured a playoff spot I have my doubts about this game)

Overall I see a 11-5 season (minus all injuries).

Regarding the poll: Choosing 9-12 is a pretty safe bet, because every year in the NFL appoximately 1/3 of all teams fall in this grouping.

I said before the draft that we'd be 11-5 so I better stick with it .. We are going to beat the Colts and their DBrown and Beanie Wells will outgain DBrown in total yds

IMO we win 11 this year. Injuries and pissed off players can also dictate this years win loss record. Hecxk we won 3 staright play off games with ateam that had a very small running game. With HIghtower having a year under his belt and Beanie getting started we should do real well. Especially if we keep the same or improve in a spot on the O-line. Special teams could win a game or two.

We haven't won 10 games or more since 1976.

That in it's self would be an accomplishment.

9-7 again and there is a very real chance we go into the bye week at 1-2. Beating the Jags in Jax will not be easy

The more I look at the first eight games I see the team staring out 4-4 best case scenario and 6-2 the final eight games. Playing jags, bears, colts, panthers, Texans and Giants during that time is a pretty tall order...

The NFL really front loaded the Card's schedule...

I think we're headed to the dreaded post SB loser's season.

Lost one starting DE. Lost one starting OLB. Lost one starting CB. Lost the RB who carried us to the SuperBowl and our speed back. All of the replacements are in either their 1st or 2nd year with the team.

Dockett, Dansby, and Boldin, 3 of our star players, are disgruntled. The key to our 3-4 defense, NT Gabe Watson, has a potentially bum knee and the guys behind him are an underachiever and a 34 year old .

We have a 38 year old QB. All of our OLBs are either rookies or over 30 and the "heart" of our defense will also turn 30 this season. We have no quality backup at ILB.

We have new DC and OC.

So I voted for 0-4.

I think we're headed to the SB again.

Lost one unspectacular DE. Lost one unspectacular OLB. Lost one unspectacular CB. Lost the aged RB who played well in the playoffs (and who we will always love for that) and replaced him with Arizona's answer to Adrian Peterson. All of the replacements are young, have played and lost on the biggest stage the sport has to offer and will therefore be coming back with a vengence, wielding the elusive combination of youth and playoff/Super Bowl experience.

Dockett, Dansby, and Boldin, 3 of our star players, are going to play their hearts out so that they can get paid next year. The key to our 3-4 defense, NT Gabe Watson, has a potentially bum knee and the guys behind him are a good guy who has yet to meet his potential and a veteran.

We have a HOF QB who just led us to the SB. All of our OLBs are either rookies or relatively young vets and the "heart" of our defense will have just turned 30 this season. We have no proven backup at ILB.

We have new DC and OC who will, respectively, put more pressure on the quarterback and not wait to throw the ball to our Pro Bowl receivers until the 4th quarter!

So, despite the fact that I think we figure to win EVERY SINGLE GAME, I think we drop one or two in conference (most likely on the road vs. San Fran and/or Seattle) and lose close ones to either the Giants (on the road in the East), and/or the Titans (on the road in the East) and/or the Packers (after we've clinched our playoff spot). Therefore, I voted for 12-4, desperatley wanting to make it 13-3, and I firmly believe that if we stay healthy and play to our potential, a two, one or NO loss season is possible, but unlikely.

:D

I agree with DuckJake's prediction entirely...well, except for the few changes I highlighted in bold. This season is going to be sick!

Great. Now you've jinxed it. The Cards won't win 5 games.

For the cards to only win 5 games, they would have to purposely go out and not play. I see a .500 season at the very least, this team is hungry, and they want to prove that last season wasn't a hoax. Whisenhunt wont allow anything less than 8 wins lol

Quit making things worse. In 1998 the Falcons were 14-2 and went to the SuperBowl. In 1999 they were 5-11. So don't be messin' with the anti-curse.

BTW: How in the world did the Cards get within two minutes of winning the Lombardi trophy with all those unspectacular players?

predicting how many games a team will win 4 months from the beginning of the season is ridiculous
