Faneca.

Look what Hutchinson did for Minny. McKinney was an under-performing LT before, now they are freaking dominant.

Namdi is a pipe dream. It was reported that he will be franchised.

I voted for the G from Pitt. But only if he would replace Wells and not Latui.

I think Whiz would be happy to add Faneca. That's who I voted for.

But there's a part of me that says we really should focus on the defensive side of the ball.

I look at Faneca the way most are looking at Edge right now - downside of career.

Suggs is good but not our biggest area of need

Asumagha (spelling?) or Samuel (should be one of the choices) are quality FA.

I picked Asomugha but would be thrilled with Faneca. Suggs in third for me.

Suggs would be perfect IMO. Pass rush would make our secondary that much better. And Berry is just unreliable, for lack of a better term.

As much as we need to upgrade the defense, I think having one side of the ball be completely dominant can help make up for the other side. If we add Faneca, I think we have a juggernaut offense.

Still no idea how Faneca is suddenly on the downside of his career. He is going to the prow bowl yet again and showing no signs of slowing up. Why can't he play a few more years at a high level?

I agree. And add that the Cards are at the point where the window is getting shorter. Most of the key guys will be entering at least their 5th season this fall. They need to win while those guys are at their peak which is usually years 5-8 in the NFL. So paying for a guy that will only be able to help you for 2-3 years isn't that big a risk.

I hope you are all prepared to get none of these guys. The cards are not going to sign an expensive FA per Graves numerous times.

Adding a player like Alan Faneca would do more for this team than any of the others.

The culture and mentality of this team still needs to change. It has gotten better, but it still needs work. Having a guy like Faneca in the engine room of our offense would be amazing.

I don't get it... Adding an aging OG over a top-3 CB in his prime? Faneca would be a great pickup but not over a player like Ashumda.

There is something to be said about leading from the front as oppossed to the back.

Also, running the football in the NFL means you win games. Having a great pass defense? Not so much IMO.
