Well we might have a front office to match our stadium. The all chrome dome franchise!

I agree he does sound like some of our previous coaches, except more knowledgeable and even keeled (if thinking of coach mac). Comes off as smart, humble, sharp, realistic, and ready.

Not saying I prefer him or anything, but he doesn't sound bad.

I'm working, so I can't transcribe what was said, but I'm very impressed. This is certainly the coach we need. Let's get it done. Very composed, very smart, flexible, and seems to have the desire.

more gravitas than Bevel or Gruden

i like the fact that he was a head coach for 12 or so games already

I like Arians a lot. I like that he talked about how there is enough time in the day to work directly with the QB and be the HC. Which answers any questions we might have as to whether bringing him in would actually help our QB situation IMO.

I liked this guy before. I absolutely love him now. No B.S., just a straight-shooter who knows his stuff.

Told his agent he wasn't leaving Indy for just any job, it had to be a good opportunity that felt right for him.

Someone asked "Do you like this job and organization?"
B.A. "Yes I do!"

All that's left is the contract IMO.

Didn't get. to see it yet, but what I'd be looking for among the guys in play are:

"Is he a good leader/motivator?"

"Does he know what he is doing? (i.e. Does he have an answer for anything that might come up)?

Is he good at hiring good staff and directing/delegating to them effectively?

The guy who meets these 3 criteria best gets my vote.

I really like that he talked about how it had to be a situation that he felt good about to take the job. Thus if he takes this job than I think that immediately spells some notions that this team can't be successful as early as next year. The only thing I didn't like was that he completely avoided the question about whether he would be willing to keep Horton on.

Just finished watching. Here's some things that stuck out to me:

Doesn't seem like he's real eager to leave Indy (and why would he? Great QB, 58 signed players already, and $40 Mill in spending money...good God...) but says the job here is something he'd like.

You can see a lot of Ken Whizenhunt in him (which isn't exactly a terrible thing). I like that he values the relationship with players, especially QB's. Hearing him say "that's the guy your career rides on" was a big plus in my book.

Seems very honest and straightforward. Doesn't seem like a guy that will be beating up podiums *cough*Denny Green*. Much like Whiz in that sense. Does seem a little more honest and down to earth, but lets see how he looks when the Cards are struggling.

Like the guy, wouldn't be mad if he's the next coach, but hope the continue looking. Didn't seem good enough to white wash everything we've done so far and just hand him the keys. Michael Bidwill said he wanted to be blown away and I just don't see Bruce Arians as that guy.

Good thing is that the best teams are still in playoffs and none of them have been able to give interviews yet. My guess is this continues to wait out. Wouldn't be shocked to see Roman get an interview if they lose this week. Same with Dirk Koetter. I believe Michael will interview just about anybody he can get his hands on at this point.

Kind of interesting he told the press he'd be available to them as HC. Why would he do that unless he thought he'd be working with them? To me that was the most surprising thing he said. Everything else was usual questions and usual answers.

The only thing I thought when I heard that is "leverage" lol. Anybody wants to be the guy calling the shots. He's not lying, Indy is a great gig. But Chuck Pagano just got all the credit for his team making playoffs when it was led by Arians all season lol. If I'm Arians, I'm leaving to whoever will give me my reins backs.

Liked what I heard for the most part, and stayed in the middle regarding Horton and defensive staff. Cant see MB dumping Horton because BA wants someone different. If BA stays through tomorrow, its a done deal.

Moe - Better we get it right than get it quick, but with more than a little bit of concern that decisions will be delayed too long while the owner thinks himself into knots.

I thought it was a great interview. He's obviously very knowledgeable and seems to have a lot of ties throughout the league. The importance he places on developing a solid relationship with QBs is also promising. My favorite line was about how you want the QB to tell you what he really sees, not what they think you want to hear. I believe that kind of trust was missing between Whis and the QBs.

I would be fine with either Arians or Bevell.

One thing that really stuck out for me was mentioning "situational football". Means he makes in-game adjustments. Something that drove me nuts about Whiz; the fact that he didn't make enough and always fell back on the Pitt system rather that creating his own.

Why can't people stop referencing a rumor that was proven false.
