Here are my ten names at 15 that would prevent me from trading back in round 1.

1-Sam Darnold-QB
2-Josh Rosen-QB
3-Baker Mayfield-QB
4-Josh Allen-QB
5-Bradley Chubb-DE
6-Vita Vea-DT
7-Roquan Smith-LB
8-Derwin James-S
9-Denzel Ward-CB
10-Leighton Vander Esch-LB

That is it. Next tier is about 7 or 8 guys I think so after 23, we may not be getting major value in trading back. I think all of these players are either QBs, or guys who I believe are pretty solid 10 year guys. They should all be able to play major snaps, and other than Ward, they all have solid NFL measureables.

I would add Barkley to the list, even though we don't need him and he won't be there. What about Minkah Fitzpatrick? I assume you have Edmunds lower than Vander Esch?

Agree save one: Allan

I'd open it up for offers.
With all of his potential, if he is available at 15, it is tough to pass on Allen. I don't love him, but I don't that I could pass him up looking at our situation at QB. It wouldn't be a bad pick if he can turn into Blake Bortles at 15.

Minkah is tough because I think he is too similar to Budda. Minkah is strictly a nickel CB from what I have seen and a box S. That is what I feel we have in Baker, even though I believe we could play Baker in a single high. I would put Fitzpatrick in that next grouping, but not in the top tier.

In regards to Edmunds, I just don't love his fit for AZ. He is a huge OLB for a 4-3, but did not show any great edge rush ability in college to make me think he would grow into a DE role. He has nice size, and is super young, but I just don't know. 3-4 OLB, absolutely as Edmunds has significant experience in a standing role, but as a hand in the dirt DE, he is another projection player. I just don't like taking guys who will have to do something significantly different than they did in college to justify the pick.

I am more meh on Nelson now than I was when I started looking at these guys. The reason he is not on the list is because I do believe that there would be an offer that i would move back from Nelson. I don't see a huge gap between him and Hernandez.

Barkley has little value to us unless we traded DJ. If he was there, and we weren't trading DJ, i would move back.

As an FYI, I didn't forget Barkley, Ridley, Nelson, Edmunds, Payne, or Fitzpatrick. There are reasons these guys didn't make the list.

Next 8 in no particular order are

McGlinchey
Nelson
Hernandez
Daniels
Davenport
H Landry
Fitzpatrick

The CB grouping is tough because I can't figure out the gap between Josh Jackson and Isaiah Oliver (with Hughes, Alexander, Davis). I am sure one of these should be in the next tier.

I also don't know how special D Payne is from Alabama which makes it tough for me to include him in here.

QB or defense..lol... pretty cut and dry there.

I am tossed up on Vander Esch...love the kid, and I ould probably actually take him at 15... but in all honesty he should be there at 47...should
but he has risen a lot lately and more realistically is around a pick 35 guy... which tells me if we want him we should go ahead and get him at 15, no point in taking chances if he is there guy... he and edmunds are the only two guys with the size and athleticism to fill our need at MLB and IMO VDE fits the bill more so than edmunds
roquan smith is a great athlete but IMO he is too small, though a better athlete he is nearly a deone clone... when faced with a small guy and a big guy with similar athleticism,...always take the bigger guy...

I think unless a QB slides past pick 7... Keim will pick VDE....or McGlinchey

1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 won't be there at 15. I like the list though.

Agreed. I don’t love really like him but at 15, he’s got too much potential to pass up.

I have started trying to view the draft from the top 150 mindset that most teams use. It isn't about the best 150 players, it is about the best 150 that fit your scheme and your roster which weeds a lot of players out.

Hell, all of them might not be there at 15

Which would be the scenario to trade back IMO. I don't believe I would back back further than 23 without a ton of picks though. Maybe 26 if you figure not all of those guys may go.
