– Well, if you must win, the Niners are the best to beat. By far the most horrible team in the NFL.
– The win knocked the Cards down from the #12 pick to the #16 pick, and don’t think that is not a big deal. There are always fans saying stuff like “well, the draft is a crapshoot. Maybe the best picks are late in the round.” Yeah, they could be, but it is obvious that the higher you pick, the better chance you have of getting a difference maker. There is a reason why they have the worst teams picking first. It’s simple logic. Picking #12 would be worth a lot more than a meaningless win. #RantOver #ForNow
– Zay Jones have been a good pickup. Pretty reliable #4 or #5 receiver.
– Nice game by Christian Jones at right tackle.
– Let’s be honest, the Niners’ mistakes were what decided the outcome. Turnovers and penalties killed them.
– Elijah Higgins have become a much better blocker this season.
– I have enjoyed Murphy-Bunting this season. He reminds me of Dre Kirkpatrick in that he is not the best CB, but he always has intense battles with the opponent (not talking about the kickout in this game). It’s both frustrating and fun.
– Xavier Weaver had a drop in the end zone and forced a big pass interference on his two targets. Talk about having an impact.
– Good Lord, how this team needs a stud or two in the front five.
– I understand why they keep Murray. This was the good version of Murray, and what is plan B? His biggest – and almost only – problem is that he is so wildly inconsistent, but at his best he could lead the team to win against anyone. So, they keep trying to fix it instead of going the unknown route. I don’t agree with it, but I get it – especially in an offseason where the good alternatives are hard to see.
By the way, that exact thinking is also why there for absolutely sure is many teams that would want to trade for him, and that people are just kidding themselves by questioning that, but yes, that is beside the point.
