OKC just has to stay close. Get it to single digits by halftime, and they'll be OK. Spurs are a better team, but OKC is much younger. By the fourth quarter, they'll have an advantage.

The only thing keeping the Thunder from pulling away is Westbrook. He's not passing and moving the ball again.

The Thunder win but Tony Parker may be the best PG in the game.

Tim Duncan saying the Thunder got all the calls in the second half. Poor baby. The Spurs are going fishing.

Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo take exception to this post.

True enough. :)

However, Tony Parker was relentless trying to bring the Spurs back in the closing minutes. He made shots and created openings where there were none. I'm definitely not a Spurs or Tony Parker fan but he amazed me even after seeing him play all these years.

i've never hated Sarver more than I do tonight. OKC should have been us.

They had a big three and GREAT role players. Kinda like we would have with JJ, Nash and Amare with KT and Raja and as the defense, grit, big shot guys (Raja).

and that doesn't even take Marion into account... and even if we couldn't afford all those salaries (although we could have if Sarver would jave just listened to Jerry and signed JJ for 10 mill per when he had the chance) then we could have shipped Marion out at his peak for more depth or probably a lotto pick to continue building a dynasty.

**** Sarver. **** him in his stupid ****ing ass. now we're screwed forever. Thanks Foamy you stupid ****!

As a Lakers fan, I'm going to make you wriggle and love what a Celts player said:
Quote:
@engeljen

Overheard: Pierce on his way back to huddle after draining monster 3 "I got your five, six, seven right here *******"

ARGH! Man, i hate pierced, but damn that is effing great. LOL.

I agree our roster was mismanaged, but this OKC team has talent that we never had, and they have man-defenders up the wazoo.

mvp's, greatest-in-the-nba players, chosen one's, blah blah blah, etc...don't go scoreless for an 8min stretch of the 4th in a pivotal game 5 of the semi's to basically clinch a finals appearance.

the media and analysts need to quit crowning this guy, he hasnt done or proven anything. how many seasons now has he been in the nba? yes he's been around that long.

pffft, "the king"...

If you want to crown him, then crown his ass! But he is who we thought he was!

uh... that was a pretty damn clutch performance by LeBron. We'll see if it's just a blip or the beginning of something for him.

jesus, that guy was a beast tonight.

Reminded me of his performance against the Pistons, just overwhelming the other team.

Imagine if LeBron put up the performance that Pierce did tonight...

uh... this is the first time in 48 years that ANYONE has played a game like this. No one's gone 45, 15 and 5 since wilt did it back in the 60's. Sure, he's had big games in the playoffs before, but never before when he was a favorite with his back against the wall and he sure as hell hasn't had any of these type of games in the last three playoff runs when his back was against the wall. The last time we saw this LeBron was back in 2008 when he almost singlehandedly led an awful Cleveland team to a Game 7 road win in Boston when he had that great duel with Pierce. He went out with wimpers versus the Mavs and the Celtics two years ago and tortilla'd in the last 8 minutes of Game 5 in this series at home.

WTF?

Barkley scored 56 with 14 rebounds against the Warriors in the 94 playoffs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAdMW4Hi8yI Malone had 50 in 1999 playoffs, Jordan had a few 50's, George Gervin, Bernard King, it goes on and on. http://www.apbr.org/playoffhi.html

I think you are going overboard here and overlooking a lot of better performances.
