Just found this for all of you old timers. Its a full Suns/Sixers game from 1991 in the old building.

Suns team included: KJ, Chambers, Hornacek, Xavier McDaniel, Ceballos, West, Majerle, Kurt Rambis, and Andrew Lang. As I watched, I was struck by what a calming competent influence Hornacek was on the court. Even Nigele Knight was better than most of our backup players.

Philly included Barkley,Manute Bol. It was Mario Elie's first game in the NBA and the Sixer announcers were trying to figure out how to pronounce his name.

Thanks for the link. I remember being a very excited 13 year old at the thought of X on Suns, thought he'd rip it up...major letdown... lol

I just randomly forwarded to the 5:20 mark and Mark West is right on cue picking up a foul.

For his career, he averaged 5.7 ppg and 2.9 fouls per game.

Probably the worst ratio in the history of the NBA :D

Sad, but true. But he does a great voice-over now for the Suns Marketing Dept.

Wow... Negele Knight... Manute Bol..

For some reason I thought Xman was here in the new building.. He was their poor mans attempt to get a Barkley at the time.

Cotton didn't cotton to the X-man... my main memory of him being on the team is being ticked at Cotton for not letting him take the place of one of our softies on the floor.

I remember going to a Philly/Suns game at the Madhouse. Probably not this one as I thought I remember Majerle maybe being a rookie at the time. But I remember taking great joy in watching Majerle irritate Barkley on defense. Barkley looked like he was thinking, "Who IS this guy and why is he in my shorts?"

I think I was at this game. They seemed to make it look easy and business-like. That was a deep Suns team.
