I think if we stay healthy and play even close to our capablities...we can be 5-0 going into the Dallas game. I know this has been predicted before, and in previous seasons too. But I think we have real team right now. Whis has done his best to change our thought process and it seems most are buying into it(Boldin isn't) But even he looks good this preseason. Lets hope we play well early on and ride it to the playoff's.

I think we get into that Dallas game 3-2 or 4-1. I don't know why but that BUF game scares me a lot. I think we lose to the Jets or Skins on the road but not both.

one-game-at-a-time!!!

I love our depth and the fact we have another RB, but remember this team has yet to prove it can win on the road and 3 of the first 4 games are on the road. Don't get ahead of yourself.

Wow why can't we just write positive things. 2 other people had good opinions. You have to be well u know what about it. The Cards have never been 5-0 but for some reason I believe they have a shot this year. It isn't like we are the Patriots and this happens alot. We have never BEEN 5-0 so if we were, I say it would be pretty big.

I don't think they can be 5-0 with 2 east coast roadies in the first 5.That takes a toll on a team. That's also why the Buffalo game scares me. The Cards could be sluggish after coming off back to back trips out east. The one saving factor is that i'll be at that game and the Cards are undefeated when i'm out there :D.

Absolutely, we're all optimistic but lets focus on the Sept 7th game first.

I am pissed about these early road games. Due to our stadium, or lack there of, our first 4 games of the year were all on the road for 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!! Should we get a grace period here now that we can play indoors?

We better beat the deadskins this year, thats all I am hoping for right now.

Yes, we should.... However, I'm incredibly excited that we have 3 of the last 4 at home. Unless something has gone horribly wrong, this should be freakin fantastic for fans w/ season tickets! :band:

It's nice to have 3 of the last 4 games at home but I wish that 1 away game wasn't New England in December.

I think we were 7-0 to start the 1975 season.

If I am not mistaken the Arizonal Cardinals will be staying East between the Jets and Redskins games. They are tenatively scheduled to practice the week between at Catholic University in or near D. C. Coincedentally the Catholic University sports team are the Cardinals!

If you guys think this kid is outrageous, wait until you hear my opinion.

I think the *first* game against the 49ers, week 1, is one of the most important games in the history of the franchise. The 9'ers have a serious hex on the Cardinals, they hate us a LOT and we get their absolute best game every time. We can't win the division without beating its weak teams, and it's such a crucial year. With this talent, depth and coaching, another losing year would make you almost want to fold the franchise and get it over with.

Also, posting a solid win against the hex in week 1 would almost ensure a victory over Miami the following week. Then we're off and rolling. I believe that the Jets and Skins are both overrated this year, so I don't know that 4-0 or 5-0 is out of the question. We need a hot start, because there is bound to be a tough stretch of games down the line.

I totally agree with this. This is no ordinary opener. The Niners have to get an ass whooping.

Every week, every game is the most important one of the year. SFO is huge. We started there last year and let a game get away that we had dominated statistically. This year we go back and try again. Winning that game will set the year off on a whole different track. Even the players will feel different knowing they started in the same place and came out ahead. Every game will be huge when it comes, but that first game this year is a chance to show improvement from the very start.

I think 4-1 after five games feels about right. Last year the Cards were not favored by Vegas to win a game until week 5 against STL. This year we are favored in week 1 and will be in week 2 also.

Every game is important.

The difference between 8-8 and 12-4 last season (or anywhere in between) would be four field goals against the 49ers, 49ers, Ravens, and Redskins.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet the bastard responsible is still on the team. The fact that we haven't brought in kickers and punters is the only move (or non-move) by Whiz that I question.

I actually agree I think losing again to SF would be a HUGE blow to this team I strongly agree that's as close to a must win as an opener can be.

5-0 would be nice but I think we're under estimating a few teams. Jets and Skins on the road...on the road where we are really bad. Love him or hate him Farvre is on the Jets and can still play and the Skins are improved. I think we have Miami and maybe the 49ers, then again they always play us hard. The Billas at home is gonna being interesting too.So it could easily go 2-3 as it could 4-1 or 3-2. I really don't know since I don't think our offense is all that great yet without a solid QB decision and we never seem to have a consistent game, part of the fun of being a Cards fan lol
. And cardsfanmd I feel ya about Rackers, that being said tho we should never have to leave an entire game in the hands of a kicker.

I agree. The first 5 games will very much determine where we are headed. Either up or down.
