Dude's a smart guy. He doesn't care what the cameras think of him. He knows how to work the refs. If and when it stops working, you know that he's going to chill out.

Carroll is a rah rah coach and that does not cut it in the pros. It is easy to use it as a motivational tool in college because your roster is constantly changing (players do not stay long enough to wear on the emotional hoopla) and young kids are very impressionable. For any success Carroll has had so far, his over the top antics will bury him after his players as professional adults tire of it in a extended time. If Seattle ever hits a bad stretch in a upcoming season not far from now, the whole team will tank with Carroll having no shot of ever righting the ship.

I have to disagree with you on this one. I thought Carroll was a rah rah coach (and he obviously is to an extent) but that will only last about 1 season before the players start to tune it out. It is the reason Sing won early on in SF and McGinnis did here. Carroll has to have the X's and O's to still be winning. Bottom line is that the guy is a good coach. Sucks but true.
