I got an email announcing the winner from [email protected]. Is that another site you own? Should the email have come from arizonasportsfans.com instead?

That's the way I have it set up. Just makes it easier to use one email rather then several. I own several more forums.

Nope, no programs in the NBA I guess.

We arrived early, had some bomb sandwiches at potbelly subs and headed inside. Notice some of the new suns jerseys on my way in, they dont look like suns jerseys.

MEtal detectors at the door go off for every person and then they waive you through. Seems like it is just for looks.

Step up to concessions. $11 a beer?! Ok fine, ill pay it. With my middle finger in the air.

We wander over to our seats, player introductions are going on and its dark as hell. Someone points me to my seat. I notice the man next to my seat is one of the biggest men I have ever seen. Intros are going on so I rush to sit and get out of everyones way.

Now keep in mind, I am 6'5 230, not a small man. So I sit next to this guy who seems to be taller but that may just be because he has to sit completely straight up, he doesnt really have options.

So im sitting there as this guy is holding his legs to squeeze them together and our legs are still touching and im leaning right into my wife because he is taking up half of my seat.

I sit there for a few minutes and had decided I am either going to bug the aisle worker for a different seat somehow or just leave. I cannot sit, crammed into my seat when a guy is taking up half of it.

A little bit into the game I notice noone has sat in two seats in front of us and told my wife if they are still empty in Q2 we are moving there.

A few minutes later she noticed the couple to our right had an empty seat next to them. Thank god they were nice enough to scoot over.

ahhhhh. freedom. leg room. this is awesome. Now I can actually watch the game.

I dont have fox sports one so I havent gotten to watch a suns game in some time.

Dragic, Bledsoe and thomas are all studs. Thomas had the play of the game on a fast break in my opinion and #15 is nails from the 3 point line.

The lakers are obviously terrible this year but we spanked them handily. I hope we are very good but I dont want to base it off of a performace against a bad team.

This was my first Bball game since I was a kid and man o man is the crowd different than at a football game. We had a great time but it more so solidified my love for live Cardinal games.

PS: I was the only cardinals jersey in the stadium. I figured I wouldnt be alone. My wife thought it was obnoxious to wear a football jersey to a bball game but I obviously disagreed.

Kudos ASFN for the tickets. Posting pix in a moment. They look a little bit furtehr away on the camera than they do with your eyes. The seats were great once I found leg room.

I have gotten programs at every NBA game I have ever attended.

Here is a Facebook post covering the Suns' NBA game program - called Free Throw:

Fitz, Honey Badger, and a lot more of the Cardinals' team was at the game.

Awesome that you were able to move seats and not be miserable crammed next to that guy. I would have said the exact same thing to my wife if I were you. Nothing worse than being uncomfortable and jammed in a big crowd. Thanks for posting the pics. The big question is, did the boss (wife) enjoy the game too?

She did however she wasnt impressed vs football atmosphere but anything that makes her want to go to more football games is ok in my book.

I love basketball but for me there's no comparison when it comes to a "live" experience. Football has it beat hands down. IMO, basketball is the perfect TV sport. If I lived across the street from US Airways and had a free season pass to the best seats in the house, I'd still watch most of the games with my remote in hand and the big screen in front of me. But for the occasional night out with the wife, even though it's not quite the NFL experience, it's still a lot of fun. Glad to hear you and your wife enjoyed the game.

Football definitely beats basketball for the "live" experience.

I'll add to that - the "live" experience at the Madhouse on McDowell was way better than it has ever been at America West Arena/US Airways Center. The older posters on here can back me up on that. :D

I agree - sad when the PA is the only one yelling defense though :)

Oh yeah, the Madhouse was special. I've been to many games there (and a few concerts) and I've never had a bad time.
