My guys to jock:

Marcus McNeil, he would be a friggin' awesome T, he could fill in as Rt or LT

Vince Young, my boy what else can I say

Watson, we need another NT here is a perfect one

Jimmy Williams, FS or Corner we would be set for years

Carpenter, LB from Ohio state doesn't get as much pub as Hawk but is just as good

You'd need three first round picks for Williams and Carpenter and Young because they're all three that good.

Of the three Young would be my choice simply because we need a QB in the worst way.

If we can get two of the four I would be really happy.

A fat load of good guys like Leinart, Bush etc will be without the line to protect them.

I'm really surprised someone hasn't put together a list of guards or tackles for FA. Because that is the only way these skill players are going to be sucessful.

If we get the number one pick, and that's a big if, I can see Denny quitting before he drafts Matt L.

There is no way he figures that's going to help him and he's going to quit which is fine by me but I'm just pointing out that for a 3rd year coach needing a winning season if you draft a QB there he's toast.

Whatever we do we better get the best two O linemen in the draft somehow and if we had the number one pick, I think you could manuever into that.

Matt L is probably not going to sign with us, I believe we'd draft him but if he says something like that to us back channel then I think we tell him to keep his mouth shut or we will take him, be quiet and we'll deal the pick.

I am not sure but I think Kendall Simmons and Steve Hutchinson might be available in free agency, not positive though.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of potential free agents after this year?

This may be slightly out of date but you get the picture. And Simmons is not a FA until 2008.

Stockar McDougle - Dolphins
Jon Runyan - Eagles

Gaurds -

While I understand the idea ask yourself this, is it easier to sign good OL's in FA with Josh McCown, John Navarre, Rohan Davey and Kurt Warner, or with Matt Leinart or Reggie Bush?

OL's aren't stupid, they know the better the players they block for, the better they look and the more money they make. That was one of the primary reasons we locked up Jake in that big contract we wanted a marquee player to help us "recruit" FA's.

Sign these 3 guys and Ouchie and Cheese could play tackle and we'd make the playoffs.

Fonoti has some foot injury issues though, he's so big I know the Chargers are concerned his feet are going to shorten his career.

Hutchinson will never reach FA, if he does, Seattle is stupid, and I don't think they are.

Bentley I have no idea what his situation is he can play guard or Center, Step backed him up in college, he's really good when healthy.

I keep reading "Now we can draft Leinhart" or "We are now playing for the Leinhart sweepstakes". My question is:

Would Denny even chose Leinhart if the Cards had the #1 overall pick?

The dude seems to dislike drafting QBs with the highest picks and drafting Leinhart would likely mean another year of piss poor football while Leinhart watches from the sidelines OR he is thrown to the wolves...and I am not sure Denny has the luxury of a crappy season in 2006.

Also, would Leinhart pull a Manning and say "I am not going to go play for AZ"? I think this attitude is going to become more popular by players since it seemed to work for Eli. I know someone will say "Leinhart isn't that type of guy" but I really wouldn't have guessed Eli was that type of guy either.

I should thank the front office is going to scrutinze any choices in the future if our team continues on the current path. DG is not going to be the lone decision maker until he has proven he can coach. Of course our management team is not all world.

In the two years DG has been here look at some of the QB's that are now starters. Leftwich, Big Ben, The Bengals QB is on fire. At some point you have to take a shot at a top college QB. We have not done that in years. A QB remains the focal point of any team.

It's pretty rare that a pick refuses to play for a team and forces the hand. Elway did it and it didn't start a rash of other picks doing it. I don't think we'll see that again for quite some time.

Yes, if we had the number one pick I think Denny would take Leinhart. Why wouldn't he?

Why had Denny done a lot of the dumb things he has been doing? He has shown no penchant for drafting QB's. He predicted Josh would be a very good QB. This guy is a fraud.

He is a Marshall Faulk type player I would rather him and sign a FA quaterback with some experience

I really like Bush but this team is in great need of a QB. If Leinhart stays healthy he will be the #1 pick next year unless the Cards pick first and then all bets are off. I would thing Mr. Bidwill would step in on this one unless he wants to trade down to save money.

How many coaches in the NFL have drafted more than one QB in the first round? (That's not a rhetorical question--I'd be interested to hear the answer). Denny's drafted 1. I doubt there are many that have drafted more than one.

So, I don't buy this "Denny doesn't draft QBs in the 1st" business.

I love this attitude:rolleyes:

Quit thinking like every other Cardinals GM of the last 50 years and quit drafting for need and putting band aids on the problem. I dont think we need any more youth on our oline anyway. Step and Brown need to be surrounded by vets. All our FA money (and i believe this will be the biggest off season spending spree seen in AZ ever due to the stadium and needing to market the team) should be spent on OL and a MLB....quick someone find out who is availiable....

Franchise QBs and RBs (and i believe Bush is the only one since OJ) are where you have to go irregardless of need. Leinert might end up being the best college player ever and u wanna draft a freaking lineman???? Cardinals problems run deep and lets face it, we are not a lineman from the Super Bowl. Denny drafts BPA and that has to be Matt (although i could see him drafting Bush as well)

Manuwai is awesome, he would be a great addition so would Walker, who has been the Bucs best O-Lineman thus far.

If we have the #1 pick, I'd take a hard look at Leinhart.

Barring that, I like Omar Jacobs (potential!) and Abdul Hodge.

No "hard look" if we're at #1. If the Cardinals are on the clock at #1 they better already have a contract with Leinart signed and sealed and his house in Paradise Valley picked out when Tagilbue hits the podium. This team will lose a lot of fans, myself included if they pass on Leinart. Unfortunately, since we play the Eagles and the Colts (both of whom will have already clinched) the last two weeks of the season I'm guessing some yet to be determined Cardinal QB will lead us to two meaningless victories against their backups to knock us down the the fifth pick.
