Here is IMO BPA with Cardinals needs in my mind......

Chris Leak

I've been pimping Leak a lot but he hasn't been that impressive this year. I'm sure it's just adjusting to new offense but that combined with size means he won't get drafted very high if he comes out this year.

Alot of these prospects could potentially help our team BUT we desperately need an O-line. So we have to draft some really good O-lineman somewhere.

That being said, who are the O-lineman that will be FA's this year? Anybody got a link for that?

We need an O-line coach that knows what he's doing. They are so inept and IMO the coach needs to be replaced by someone who doesn't have his head up his but then we can truly measure the talent we have there. The o-line has been a problem for years and I just don't get it. Why can't we protect our QB, we have Davis, Wells, Wakefield, Stepanovich and Brown. Do you think with proper coaching these guys could be a top 10 O-Line????

I agree. Vince Young does nothing for me either. I do like that Hawk kid too. Real playmaker the couple times I have seen OSU play.

Why does everyone like Bush better than White? Or do you guys just think that White will stay in school?

I don't think there is a comparison...White is a franchise type back and Bush is more a compliment/change of pace.

Bush is more exciting but I agree White is a more realistic every down RB.

The one problem on White is his running style, he takes a lot of hits(and delivers a lot). When he's not at USC where there's a hole on ever play I gotta wonder if that style of running isn't going to lead to a shorter career?

But he's a tremendous player. He's almost a lock to come out he was barely academically eligible this year as it was and the rumor then was he was doing everything he could to be able to play this year and then go.

the real stud at Texas is Frank Okam a Sophomore.
OKAM spelled backwards is MAKO (as in shark).

Abdul Hodge would be avalible in the second round or the end of the first, Greenway would probably be the second off the board behind Hawk, or maybe first, depending on how combine stuff goes. Either way, both are ILB's and would probably accel at MLB with the Cards. That's who I'm pushing for.
I pray we're not in the #1 overall spot.

2004
Hodge, a 6-foot-2, 232-pounder, led the team with 141 tackles. Greenway, 6-4 and 239, was second with 132, 60 stops ahead of the team's third-best tackler. Both had multiple INT's and FF's.

I still don't think Vince Young leaves early. He'll stay another year to work on his passing IMO.

If he comes out early he would be another outstanding pick for the Cards.

Bush has moves that remind me of Barry Sanders. White looks strong also but is not a elusive as Bush.

Bush is not an every down back that we need, that is correct. But he would be a great 10 carry, 5 catches, punt return, and kickoff return utility guy that could be a game changer. Becuase he is multi talanted and would wear many different hats he would still touch the ball enough times to make him worthy of a top 5 pick.

The problem with picky Bush for us though is that we dont have that RB that can take the other 15-20 carries. Shipp, maybe with a better OL, JJ, maybe with a better OL and more seasoning.????

When are the Cards going to stop drafting skill players and get what holds them back every season? That would be competent lineman. This team is not going to improve that much until they can stop the run and learn how to run themselves. If they took the biggest, baddest run stopping defensive tackle in the top 10 I would be happy. Probably estatic. Then go offensive line in round 2. Then line again in round 3.

Fix the lines and you fix this team. The Cards have plenty of talent to win at the skill positions.

Bush is the modern Terry Metcalf.

As far as line backers go what about Dale Robinson at ASU, I have been to most games this year and so far this guy has been the best defensive player on the field for any of the teams... He is just nasty...

I think Robinson has a good shot to make it in the NFL. If not as a starting LB, he will make it on special teams.

I would be perfectly happy if we only drafted, NT's, backup UT, and OL the whole draft. I dont even care in what order.

Problem is there aren't very many that even stand out this year. Wright, Noga, Watson, etc..are not having solid years so far. Looks like a very bad year for DT's.

What DT's are free agents next year?

I disagree. They are big NT types. They arent going to rack up the stats like other types of players. Both Wright and Watson are having very good years, especially plugging their gaps letting otheres on their team make plays. And Ngata is having a great year after slimming down to the 315 range 6 TFL and 3 Sacks, for a NT those are some great numbers so far.

Plus there is more then just those big 3. This year is deep with NT type talent to play our slant technique here in AZ.

My Favs in Bold:

Jesse Maholena, 6-2, 300 Tennessee
Orien Harris, 6-2, 300 Miami
Jonathan Lewis, 6-1, 310 Virginia Tech
Barry Cofield, 6-3, 305 Northwestern
Dusty Dvoracek, 6-3, 300 Oklahoma
Steve Fifita, 6-0, 322 Utah
LeKevin Smith, 6-2, 300 Nebraska
Babatunde Oshinowo, 6-2, 320 Stanford
Claude Wroten, 6-2, 310 LSU
Anthony Montgomery, 6-2, 315 Minnesota
Gerald Anderson, 6-1, 315 Georgia
Johnny Jolly, 6-3, 310 Texas A&M
Manaia Brown, 6-4, 310 BYU

Yes, Babatunde is the savior!!!!

he's not 6'2" I think he's closer to 6 foot. He's pretty good but he's not the most athletic guy around. Run plugger, I mentioned him a few weeks ago because I just love the name, and he plays at Stanford so Green would love him.

Great kid too.

lendale white is a superb rb. i think he's a mid-first round pick. but he's more of a plugger. a between-the-tackles guy. maybe a great fit for a pittsburgh. bush, however, is a homerun waiting to happen on every play. he makes superhuman moves. breaks ankles. that elusiveness is difficult to find.

This trend started about Rod Wright, Texas DT. As of now, I'm think he may be our best bet in the first round. We need a big DT in the middle of our D-line, That is, providing Matt Leinart is not on the board when we pick. Then, I be for picking Leinart.
I doubt we'll take a OT in the first round, unless we have a low first round pick. OTs and TEs should be deep in this years draft. Might be risky taking either McNeill of Auburn due to past back probs and I believe Winston of Miami had a past ACL. Ferguson from Va would be a good pick with a high first round pick, if he's available. But, if we do not go for an OL in the first round, I'd take one in the 2nd and a TE in the third. JMO as of now.
