Today marks the end of the Dirk Koetter Era at ASU.

Can the Sun Devil defense derail Colt Brennan and Hawai'i and send Koetter out a winner, or will Brennan and the Hawai'i offense run through ASU and send the much maligned Koetter out on a sour note?

Also, do you guys think ASU's d can prevent Brennan from breaking the single season passing TD mark, or do you forsee the Devils being a footnote in the trivia question?

ASU is the toughest defense Hawaii will face this year. I believe we have the 27th best total defense in the NCAA. That being said, Brennan will still throw for over/under 4 td's. I have little faith in our db's as after Tryon we our very thin.

I'll give it to Dirk, he's a great bowl coach. I'm not sure why he can't coach the same way during the regular season because he gets his team ready big time for bowl games. We should have beat Kansas St in the Holiday Bowl which I believe would have given him an undefeated bowl record heading into today.

It should be a very fun game to watch and I'm looking forward to it. Not sure why people wouldn't want to watch this game, it's entertainment at its best!

I think Hawaii wins by 7-10 points and Brennan gets 3-4 TD's. I predict a 35-27-ish score. I think it should be a pretty good game, but I'll have to miss a quarter of it.

If i were D-Day Dennis, i would kick his butt off the team so fast he wouldnt known what hit him. That was a disgrace of a second half by the players and coaching staff. THANK GOD DIrk Diggler is outta here

Was anyone else not buying the Colt Brennan hype? I went in to the game expecting to watch a great QB and most of his passes were nothing special. A lot of dump offs, 3/4 arm motion, low release point and I didn't see him demonstrate much arm strength...he was super accurate but thats easy when you have 5 players running routes and the ASU defense couldn't cover anyone (and you are completing passes under 10 yds that the WRs add a lot of YAC).

I'm not buying this--"He'll be the first QB taken overall in the 2008 draft" especially if Brian Brohm stays for his senior year.

I watched about three of Hawai'i's games this season, and I see nothing special. To me, he's no better than the Texas Tech QBs who get produced on a yearly basis.

I have a feeling the Kush "aura" is going to creep back into the program. With Erickson already reaching out to the football alumni... I sense Erickson is going to go old-school in terms of the way respect is commanded around campus.

Nice half-time motivation there, Koetter. And, nice love-fest at mid-field after the game. I thought some of the players were going to pull out pens from their socks and ask Colt Brennan for his autograph.

ASU played close and looked like they were a string team in the first, but seemed to trickle off after half time. ASU's defense looked good early and held Brennan in check. In the second half Hawaii, just turned it on and Seemed to score at will. ASU kept scoring occasionally, but couldn't keep up.

I'm the guy saying this is a stupid bowl game and I won't watch, because I expect more from this program.

I'm surprised they stayed close. To Koetter's defense his defense played well most the season. It's his offense that sucked, which he is supposedly known for. How you can't recruit WRs to a Pass Happy Offense....I'll never know.
