Have you entertained the possibility and even the likelihood that Levi Brown will be much improved next year? You act like he will never be a good pass protector...but the guy was a mere rookie last year and was playing a new position for him. Whether he plays on the left or the right next year, Russ Grimm will have this guy playing at a very high level.

I sincerely hope that Levi Brown is drastically improved next season, because he didn't play anywhere near his draft status last year. But I think that the faith that people are showing in Russ Grimm is well misplaced. None of the players on our offensive line developed as run blockers as the season went on, especially our other high draft pick in Deuce Lutui, who continued to make bad mistakes all season long.

But maybe you're right. After all, Milford Brown was a strong LT in St. Louis last season.

In what round do you think Hester(FB-RB) from LSU will go?

I watched Hester in about 5 games this season. I am no fan of LSU but Hester can bring it to you at any time. He will play on Sunday's.

You gotta be kidding right? Brown was thrust over there and probobly did OK. So did Elton Brown on the Cards this season. To say he was strong would be a stretch.

I was kidding. Milford Brown was terrible as a tackle for the Rams. 7.75 sacks and 8 penalities last season. It wasn't me that was asserting that Milford Brown should play LT for the Cards, though.

I actually was encouraged by Elton Brown's play, but apparently the coaches weren't since he was so quickly sidelined by Keydrick Vincent.

I'm happy with Levi Brown's first season (not perfect, but he's a rookie who was pressed into a starting role and did OK. He's big enough, strong enough and smart enough to improve).

His problem over at LT was most likely due to the fact that, here he was getting used to the RT position when he was suddenly thrown in there at LT with little or no advance notice.

Regarding Cherelius - concensus among the NFL Net guys was that he was more suited to play over on the right side and had drawbacks over on the left.

The whole issue of what a LT or RT does - in light of Leinart being a lefty - gets confusing because, if Warner (a righty) once again sees a significant amount of playing time, the role of the RT would change.

Apparently LaVelle Hawkins helped himself during the week, at least that's what I read in my local paper. He was overshadowed at Cal by DeSean Jackson but scouts were impressed with his hands and his quickness, not a blazer like Jackson but quick in and out of cuts which impressed scouts.

From what I read Justin Forsett Cal's RB probably hurt himself during the week he wasn't as big as advertised(he's small) and he wasn't as quick as they hoped. I read he's 6th rounder to undrafted.

Not me, considering what Ugoh did, I am not happy. Can you imagine if we would have went Adrian Peterson and Tony Ugoh instead of Levi and Branch?

And the QB Lefty, Righty Combo that we have necessitates that we have very good OT's to protect both blind sides. It's an area that still needs to be addressed for the Cards to take the West.

Your right Brown is just starting out and he will be vastly improved next season. The Kearny's of the world had their day. They won't really any more
if he continues his progress.

From everything I've seen and heard Cherilus would make a good bookend with Brown. He's competitive with a semi-nasty streak. Browns will come out more next year too. Git-R-Done.

All star games and games of that ilk, made up of players from different teams, with short practice time, and few reps for each player, are hard to watch.

I tried and gave up at half time. Not meaning to insult anyone, but drawing conclusions on any player, from this one game, is suspect.

It's no accident the pro staffs leave after the week of practice and don't bother staying for the game.

i'm in your tent....so to speak....the only good thing about senior bowl is contact drills.
