+1. I'm starting to think Arena knew what the hell he was doing afterall.

Arena's team at least was a heck of a lot more competitive against Italy in '06 playing a man down 9 V 10 for pretty much the entire second half.

Arena's teams were competive all the time. He knew where players played their best and he knew our limitations. We all thought his biggest fault was lack of agression but its looking like that was bogus. Bradley sucks plain and simple. Arena was fired because they didn't advance in Germany and four years later I would have never dreamed the team would have regressed so terribly. Its either talent or coaching and I think its coaching. The US hasn't had one quality win vs. a non CONCACAF team since WC 2002. That is a joke.

Brazil in the morning...it could get ugly. I'm curious to see what changes we see, all we know for sure is Clark will be replaced...but by who? Is Bocanegra back?

I have ZERO confidence in getting a result and without a change its what we should expect next summer too.

I think its coaching and talent. But a foreign coach would have us playing much better than this.

Now US is a man down (again) and gave up another goal on top of that. This team has no leadership and no coach to control them much less teach them anything.

Hate to say it but i think the Brazil have eased up a bit too with one eye on Italy.

You can not hope to even complete with teams like this with ten men, you lose the ball its 5 minutes before you see it agian. Both red cards have been harsh (i dont think his studs were showing on the one today although it was late). As a result you only have the first half to judge you guys on and seemed poor compared to the Italy game.

Well that sucked. Not much more to say really. I don't think I can stand looking at Bradley's miserable face much longer though.

Bradley's decision to start out of form Beasley & Kljestan is ridiculous.

The US needs a new coach before the end of qualifying so that he has as much time as possible to fix this mess and prepare the team for next summer.

On a side not NOBODY from the US played well against Brazil. Way too much walking, standing around, poor passes, poor decisions etc etc...If Brazil hadn't called off the dogs it easily could have been 5 or 6 to nothing.

If Bradley doesn't get canned then WC 2010 will be a joke. It might be whether he gets canned or not. It is really, rally, troubling how this team has regressed in the past year.

Emailed this to the US Soccer preident:

Dear Sir,

I am curious as to your opinion of the constant abuse of the US Men’s National Team's fan base. How long do you think the fans will stick around if you and the other board members continually assign one inept coach after the other to build this team? With a plethora of foreign coaches with a long history of creating winning teams we continually select American coaches with no history of winning on the big stage, or any stage of any consequence for that matter.

In any other job in the world a solid resume with experience is the most important item to look for, yet the US Soccer governance continually ignore this and the results year after year continue to reflect this. If you continue to stand in agreement with the coaching selections than would it not be best to have the current board members and governing body to step down and let others use this basic logic to build a respectable team?

We are not asking for a World Cup championship but how about a team that is respectable to the rest of the world instead of being a punch line of a joke?

Thank you

Did you send it to Sunil Gulati's Columbia University email address? I hear he actually responds to those.

I don't think anyone will accept responsibility though. He needs to acknowledge we is over his head and step down.

Yawn, another embarrassing performance, and further regression by a team that is going nowhere. Sure, we'll beat up on the crap in CONCACAF, and as soon as we play a decent squad in the WC, we'll get beaten easily. I feel bad for Tim Howard, he must be dealing with severe shell shock. Clearly improvement and putting together a top 10 world team is not a major concern for US soccer.

So with Egypt beating Italy we are still not eliminated. What do we have to do to advance? Beat Egypt by 7 goals? LMAO
