i think we need to beat Egypt by 4 goals and Brazil needs to beat italy by 5 or something like that....

it's kinda like in Dumb and Dumber... "So your saying there's a chance!"

LMFAO...how the hell did it happen! Incredible!

Wow...just wow.

Donovan was awesome today, although I will say this, he needs to shoot more. The defense was steady as well.

Ricardo Clark wasn't particularly sharp...neither was Dempsey (but he scored so maybe he is coming out of his funk).

I guess the Italians weren't able to draw any BS red cards vs. Brazil. Great day........

How freaking amazing. Best of luck against Spain, they're going to need it. The Confederations Cup is an absolute gauntlet, having to play the last two World Cup champs and now the Euro winners. I just hope for an exciting, well played game (and no ridiculous red cards :bang:)

OMFG!!! An incredible performance today! Sad to say it saved Bradley's job, but I just can't wish we didn't accomplish what we did. It's too sweet. Sure, we're going to get clobbered against Spain, and Bradley still isn't any good, but WOW!!! What a game, what luck in the other game, and FU ITALY!!! Go back to diving school!

A few observations. Donovan should always play in midfield and given almost no defensive responsibilities. Just let him loose to make plays. Yes, he needs to shoot more, but he was simply brilliant. Dempsey should never, ever again see the field in a midfielder role. He's a striker pure and simple. I don't think he's good enough to be a starting striker, but he sure cannot play in the midfield. He can't hold the ball, he can't even dream of how to defend in the midfield, and he's rubbish at anything but trying to score.

We still have loads of holes, questions about roster spots we don't have answers for yet. Still and all, WHAT A DAY!!! WOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

yea I am just in shock... everything fell perfectly for US.... Loved seeing Italy getting pounded.. Love seeing Rossi get sent home to NJ.... Love that we get to face Spain..... Sad that this most likely saved Bradley's job though...

I would be ok with the same lineup with Clark out and Torres in....

Lets hope that this will help the team (and manager) turn a corner. A good showing against Spain is a must now to keep it going.

well done

Spain doesn't know how to deal with the buzzsaw that is US Soccer!

Actually though we look really good so far. Would have loved if Davies had put away that bike early on...we need an early goal to maybe throw Spain off. Cause once Spain scores its gonna just open the floodgates I am afraid.

Jozy is a beast. If he can continue to mature and learn how to not take off large chunks of time he could be something special.

God it would have been amazing to have Altidore and Rossi up top for the next 10 years. Really wish we would have offered him the consistent playing time and spot on the roster that Italy did, would have made us pretty scary up top.

1-0 USA though, we need another goal!

Since 1993 USA is 88-1-6 when taking the lead to half. WOW, really hope today is not one of those 7 games, but we have to keep the pressure on. Cause this Spain team is capable of running off 3 goals in a matter of minutes against us.

Spain has a 35 international game winning streak. That's amazing in any sport

By far the best game I have ever seen Onyewu play. He has just been dominant in the middle and been EVERYWHERE when the ball was sent inside.

Now we just gotta solve this whole red card issue. You can't play 75% of your games a man down for any period of time. Just stupid.

Just amazing, I can't remember seeing the US play better than that. Spain just expected a cakewalk and the US came to play. Just awesome.....we are a lot more dangerous when we get to have 11 players for a majority of the game.

What a performance. Spain brought the pressure in the 2nd half but the team coped with everything. Donovan bossed the midfield like a general, Dempsey is getting involved again! LOVE IT!

I would say all three red cards have been harsh though.
