And that's fine, I've no problem with that, except for the stage which he uses to express it. Would you be okay if a Satan worshiper--Harrison comes to mind LOL--got up on the podium and said he'd like to thank the almighty black pit of hell for giving him the hatred he needs to play Linebacker? Let's get real. And if he did it every single time he was interviewed? It's only okay if you agree with him and want that message spread, otherwise it's just pandering, pretentious, and ridiculous.

And if he wants to be an evangelical minister, he's in the wrong business. This is football, not Pat Robertson. If Harrison got up there and started thanking Satan people would go ape-crazy, rightfully so. And you know why? Because it doesn't belong in football.

Big advantage also is that Tebow can run and not get hurt any more than any NFL Running Back. So Denver plays 11 on 11 instead of 10 on 11 like other NFL teams. Sure you can spy Tebow but the kid might just run over your spy.

:p Funny, I liked the old footage of Bobby Douglas and the Bears they showed.

Having a good scrambling, good throwing QB will give D's fits more than anything. He's still a work in progress on the latter, but he's making plays.

There's nothing at all wrong with it. People have become more tainted. Others in sports also give it up to the Lord above. In action and words. It's not just Tebow.

So when he gets his ass kicked in New England, is it going to be Jesus' fault? Will he stand up at the podium and say "I can't believe Jesus let me down in this game?"

Please. Has nothing to do with taint. And there's everything wrong with it. If you want to hear a religious sermon to make you feel good watch something besides football on Sunday's. And sure, other players thank God for a catch or interception or whatever, but only Tebow uses the national networks to prosthelytize on TV during a football game. Like I said, if it was some satan-worshiper people would go ape-sh*t.

Next, we're going to have dudes coming on representing political candidates. "I couldn't have done this without the good Senator from Maine who helped propel my football career." Give me a break man, this is football. Total joke.

Was reading somewhere that Jesus loves Tom Brady way more, because he's going to give him about 3 more touchdowns and 5 more drives past midfield.

Does this go for everyone or just Tebow because I don't recall anyone having a problem with another player thanking God for his good game.

Warner actually chilled out on that for the most part when he came to AZ, but I didn't like it when he did with the Rams either. He wasn't quite as bad as Tebow when he was with the Rams, but close. And no, I never liked it.

(And Warner never started every single interview with, "I'd like to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ.")

(In fact, he usually talked more about his wife and kids)

(I should clarify a bit: when I say he's pretentious it's because he pretends like he has some special communion with Jesus himself, and he doesn't. Not any more than any other human or any other athlete. He's not more special to me than some dude talking about his wife and kids and wanting them to be safe. Or a dude like Acho wanting to help poor people in Africa. In fact, I put more emphasis on some dude loving his family and kids and wanting the best for them, or wanting to help people in Africa, I put more emphasis on that than some dude telling me he prays all the time and talks to Jesus. You want to talk to Jesus, it's in actions, not words, don't tell me you pray ****, go to Africa and help kids, go take care of your family. Period. Talk is just talk. Pandering, like I said. Pretentious, no doubt)

(And lastly, the Jesus that he claims to love wouldn't want him doing what he's doing anyway, cashing in bucks on his sub-par talent and jersey sales and hype from people who really can't afford it. If he believes like he says. Jesus wasn't for anything he's about)

Will he? Patriots have gone one and done two years in a row with both games in New England. No forecast for snow so there goes the Patriots biggest asset.

Ya, Tom Brady is only good in the snow.

Wouldn't snow neutralize the Pats advantage in the passing game though?

I don't have a horse in this race, but it is well documented that Tebow does walk the walk - he spends time in South America, orphanages, etc...

I agree that he doesn't need to comment all the time. Keep up the "prayer pose", let it go at that, perhaps. Steve Young is pretty religious, gives to charity, etc but didn't seem to rub people the wrong way from what I remember...

I think the Steeler's coaching staff is in the top percentile. I think they play Tebow like they would Vick, but with no respect. Send one guy at him every play, scheme style, and then have some one there to contain the possible pocket escape.

No brainer in dawggy land, but I've been wrong before. A bad outing will cause a total ruckus, whether Tebow was or wasn't the problem, sucks to be mile high after this debacle.

Looking at these pre game post it appears there is no love or respect for Tebow on this board. Hope you guys did not bet your house on the outcome.

I'm not the type of person who takes naps, but this game will force me into one.

This was easily the best game of the weekend. Some great plays and it is always interesting to see the old option offense of the 50s and 60s reemerge. It takes a tough guy like Tebow to make it work as he is very hard to bring down. Pittsburgh had to know that 10 yd run by Tebow up the middle for a TD was coming. Once he gets a head of steam that 250 lbs is hard to stop. He has bad mechanics. can throw a mile, is smart, can run like a FB, and so far has done nothing but take his team to a win in the playoffs. Not a bad start for a rookie. I think any way you look at it he is the starter next year for Denver. Quinn could be trade material. I do not have any idea of how good he is.

Broncos suck

But they win in the playoffs. The option is sort of boring but it keeps the defense at the line and if you have a big mobile QB who can take the hits it apparently can work sometimes. You reallly never seem to know when Tebow is going to pass with the option available. He is also very hard to bring down. Maybe more so than any QB in the NFL. He is not likely to get hurt as much as Vick who is paying a price for all the hits he is taking. These days in the NFL size at the QB position really does matter. That is one of the pluses for Skelton. He has been one of the tougher QBs we have had in recent years and has no fear in the pocket. You cannot teach about fear in the pocket. You are born with it or not. Kolb seemed to be ready to run out of the pocket before it even had a chance to develop. Hope that was just a lack of experience with our system and not fear.

It is crazy how there has been a recent trend that the "worst" playoff team each year has won at least one game.
