I also like Chris Singleton F Florida State.

Being a U of A fan, Derrick Williams PF Arizona would also be one of my favorites but maybe a bit bias. I'd also like to finally watch my game-film of Thompkins, who could be another top-tier guy (I'm assuming).

I haven't seen many games but I like Terrence Jones F Kentucky, although the Suns have a ton of SF's. Ravern Johnson G/F Mississippi State, was another wing that I wanted to keep an eye on this year and he seems to be doing well, just need game-film of him because he was super thin last year... not a need but he's averaging a ton of points.

and last - Jason Clark G Georgetown was my sleeper this year, didn't see him on ANY mock draft, top 100 list, etc. but I see potential.

Enes Kanter iis a hell of a player but I doubt the Suns will have a chance to get him unless they move up or keepplaying the way they are right now.

I bet we end up with Kyle Singler. But I hope we don't. We really need some new athleticism.

good grief, he looks like he is playing on a 9ft rim. Also looks like he is bored and hardly trying.

No kidding. He's a foot taller than everyone else on the floor. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in the future.

What do you guys think of Lucas Nogueira? Seems like a huge guy with insane speed and talent, although very wiry.

A few things I don't want to see out of the draft no matter where and who we draft.

No offensive only minded players.

No undersized Forwards or Centers will struggle as tweeners in the NBA.

No more underachieving rebounding big men. We have had enough.

I am beginning to think we need a pgof and pfof

I really really like Alec Burks as a shooting guard by the way. Burks and Walker might not go top 10 so they would make good targets to trade up for.

I'd be surprised if Burks didn't go top 10. I think Kemba will make it to the teens because of his size. I'd rather go big though with Perry Jones, Kanter, Sullinger or even the Georgia kid. I haven't seen the 2 big Lithuanians play but their names keep popping up. I wouldn't mind taking Derrick Williams either. If we could pick him up in the second round I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on the BYU kid either. He'll probably bust but man can that kid shoot.

Derrick Williams could be the next David West, he will be a steal if you can get him in the 15-25 range. Lottery is maybe a bit too high for him because there are players with more potential but there is no way Williams isn't a first round pick imo.

Wow, Derrick Williams shot up to #2 behin Jared Sullinger on nbadraft.net and up to #5 at draftexpress.

They are probably right, he should rate similiar to what Antawn Jamison was rated and he was a #5 pick too.

Williams measured in a 6'9 at Lebron's skills academy. If he can even measure 6'10 in shoes before the draft now that should absolutely make his stock skyrocket.

If we did a blow-it-up trade and got a late 1st in the package, I would DEFINITELY take a shot at Fredette (BYU). He's a better Eddie House/Steve Kerr. He's definitely someone I wouldn't mind having on the bench and in the 9-man rotation, but at 6'2" with limited PG skills, he's not worth anything before like the 22nd pick, so if he's gone by our hypothetical late pick, then oh well....

Two guys I hope PHX ends up with are PF Trey Thompkins & PF Tristan Thompson. Thompkins is a highly skilled big man who can play back to the basket and has an outside game, Thompson is another highly skilled guy, a little small at 6'8-6'9 230-235 but we could use as much post help as we can get. The knock on Thompkins is that he isn't explosive meaning he has limited jumping ability and speed. But I would take him in a NY minute. Thompson, other than prototypical size is a terrible FT shooter at 50% and doesn't see to have a outside game. I agree with the person who thinks we end up with Kyle Singler, seems like the type of player that we target.

Which soft tall 6-10 or 7 foot player is in the draft? I think we should start early negotiations with him to speed up the process.

He's drawing some attention finally especially after beating 4th ranked San Diego State and I suspect it would take a late teen/early 20's pick to grab him. It's not what we need so I'd pass but I think he's got a shot to be much better than House/Kerr. He can shoot from absolutely any spot in the half court, has a tremendous mid-range shot to go along with his 3 pointers and he's quicker than most realize. He CAN get his own shot.

We need to draft a power forward and a center so I think he's off our radar. Of course, we also need a true point guard and a wing player that can take over games but that's for the draft of 2012, 2013 and probably beyond.

Doesn't everyone LOVE this mock draft?

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2011/

And then we would be able to get Trey Thompkins with the Orlando pick. Jimmer is soo similar to Nash. People say he doesn't have much athleticism but he gets the job done just like Nash did in Santa Clara. Both are great shooters and can create his own shot & score against anyone. Both were raw passers coming out of 'Clara and Jimmer will be too. But he has GREAT work ethic so IMO he'll become a top passer soon.

I like Fredette. There's a huge chance he might end up like Adam Morrison though. I wouldn't be overly upset if he was picked by the Suns. His release is fast, he can shoot off the dribble and he is smart. As for big men, its a huge crapshoot anyway with big men. If anything, this selection will definitely keep me watching Suns games just to see him play at the NBA level. We need offense, our primary offensive weapon is Nash and he is old. Carter will be gone and what is left of our offense? Channing Frye??

Fredette isn't similiar to Nash. You don't become a top passer just because you have work ethic.

If all we ended up with was Fredette and Thompkins after such a terrible dull season I'd be ready to sit out even more Suns action.

We need to draft anything, we have no position set for the future at all.

Nash averaged 4 assists during his college career. Fredette averages 4 in his last 3 seasons.

Nash eventually became one of the greatest passers in the history of the NBA.

Fredette won't be nearly as good a passer as Nash has become. NO ONE will. But he can still be a decent passer and a good future PG for us. Especially if we keep Nash cause Jimmer could learn a lot from him.

And Thompkins is one of the few PFs that have the skill and the size to be a big man in the NBA. Mostly every other PF is very undersized. With his shooting range, and ability to finish at the rim, he'd be perfect for us.
