Collmenter continued his crappy spring performance... Not too big of a concern given the arms in waitng.
The Giants offense is questionable at best. Still, 8 in a row against any team is good stuff!

Yea... they're saying the same thing about the NY Mets... it's nice and all and should hopefully set a great tone for the upcoming season! Really would love to see ticket sales take off!

One of my buddies on my softball team is in heaven right now - grew up on Long Island a Mets fan, has been out here five years and is now a season ticket holder for the Dbacks..

His weekend:
Our softball team went 2-0
Mets - 3-0
Dbacks 3-0
Yankees 0-3

Yea... all my buddies back east who are Mets fans are reveling in this right now. Of course, the Mets will come crashing down to earth and will struggle to win 75 games this season as they are putrid and have zero depth across the entire team - particularly pitching.

Great win and nice to see CY continue to hit after his hot spring. Hopefully the naysayers will leave him alone. I guess they will move on to Kubel. :D

Great win - and love watching 82Card eat crow daily ;)

Me too! Gotta say though... I'm amazed how teams haven't figured out how to deal with CY. The guy just can't go the other way, so, the easiest way to get him out is to keep pitched on the outside 3rd of the plate, where he will typically swing and miss, or, meekly pop up as he attempts to pull the ball... In the meantime, if they continue to pitch him in and over the plate, he will show that he is a major league quality pull hitter! ;)

Havent heard much of Kubel before he was a diamondback. He hasnt beeen of to a good start but i guess he did some good things in minnesota for them to keep running him out there over Para.

Right now, neither Kubel nor Parra are hitting the ball well.

We know historically, Kubel can hit the snot out of the ball and Parra can get on base. Someone will to break out of their mini funk sooner rather than later.

Saunders has to go deep into this game, and has already thrown 18 pitches in the first - just got the third out.

Lost 2-1.

Saunders pitched well.

Dbacks left too many runners on base.

Unfortunately, this season has started in a way that resembles previous years... Lack of offense which places immense stress on pitching. Somehow... Some way, Gibby needs to find a way to charge up this offense. For much of the 2nd half of last season, I would say the offense was good enough. More important, the hits they did get were extremely timely... and Goldy's call-up was special!
I just hope that Gibby and his staff can find the way to generate a more consistent offensive performance. Too many tight games and too much weight placed on our pitchers...

We've scored 4, 5, 5, and 7 before this loss. I have to wonder exactly what team you've been watching.
