Hm, I was hoping to see the Big G on the roster. I like him better than Lopez as a backup C.

Patrick O'Bryant is an interesting inclusion. The 7-footer was the 9th pick in the 2006 draft. Played in Puerto Rico last year.

Isn't that the kid who had a couple of injuries that basically took him out of the draft last year? Ohio State, or Iowa State senior? Maybe I am mistaking him for someone else, but I seem to remember thinking he would be a Dudley clone.

Take a look at that Keller kid. Looks like he has legit size and can actually move.

Wow! He sure doesn't look like your standard Euro stiff big man. How was he not drafted. It looks like he averaged 11 pts and 7 rebs per game for his Hungary league team. He definitely looks intriguing.

Diante Garrett - Iowa State, 6'5" PG with a 6'9" wingspan
Matt Gatens - Iowa, 6'5" SG
Matt Howard - Butler, 6'8" PF
Akos Keller - Hungary 6'10" PF/C
Marcus Landry - Wisconsin, 6'8" SF/PF
David Lighty - Ohio State, 6'6.5" SG/SF
Kendall Marshall - North Carolina, 6'4" PG
Tasmin Mitchell - LSU, 6'6" SF/PF
Markieff Morris - Kansas 6'9" PF
Patrick O'Bryant - Bradley, 6'11" C
Doron Perkins - Santa Clara, 6'3" PG
Jacob Pullen - Kansas State, 6'1" PG/SG
DeShawn Sims - Michigan, 6'8" PF
PJ Tucker - Texas 6'5" SF/PF
Erving Walker - Florida 5'8" PG

5 Point guards...

Yeah. I'm thinking they weren't sure they were getting Dragic when they made that roster. We already have 3 PGs on the roster with Telfair guaranteed. Unless they expect to lose Marshall in a Gordon S&T. I think Garett has NBA talent, and could make a roster.

It's been a while since the Suns found a diamond in the rough (NBDL, Euro, or undrafted). I think Amundson is the last guy that classifies. The Spurs and Warriors are pros at it.

A 6'5" pure PG sounds like a keeper to me.

Coro gives nice breakdown of the players on the Suns Summer league team:

Summer Suns announced

Phoenix Suns update:
The Suns announced a 15-team summer roster that will have three-day, two-a-day practices before starting a five-game NBA Summer League schedule on Sunday in Las Vegas. The team, to be coached by Dan Majerle with assistants Noel Gillespie and Elvis Valcarcel, offers a chance for a player to shine for a franchise that only has nine players definitively under contract or committed for the coming season.
Meet this year's summer Suns:

I was duly impressed by the video provided on Keller. He is very athletic for a big man. He will be a player to watch in summer league.

Are we watching the same video? I am sure he never gets more than 6 inches off the floor. Looks like a below average athlete to me.

I am intrigued about DeShawn Sims and PJ Tucker. Tucker seems to be a very good shooter. Those guys always have a role.

maybe he's talking laterally??

i initially thought that dunk was impressive, but it zoomed in and show he barely pushed it through.

Look later in the video, but I think that is from when he was younger not sure though??? Reminds me of Maciej Lampe.

Keller looks like he has above average athleticism and quick second jump, although not the best vert. Has very good footwork for a big. Has good hands for a big man and keeps the ball high, unlike our current 7' back-up center. Looks really good with using the glass and angles to be effective. Very controlled with the ball in his hands. Looks good on the PnR. Great looking 3 pt shot as well. Love the coast to coast dunk in the video. He looks way better than Majec Lampe BTW. Definitely more intriguing to me than O'Bryant and would look at him strongly if we ship Lopez or let him go elsewhere.

Who is Garcia starting at C; he wasn't on the roster. And why is Garrett starting over Marshall?
