Listening to Jurecki right now to hear more possible Cards stuff today, but to my disappointment his co-host today while Bickley is on vacation is none other then Tim Ring.:bang:

Several teams focused on Drew Stanron now in the dwindling QB market. Jets, Dolphins and Falcons among those interested

Gosder Cherilus - T - Colts
Colts agreed to terms with OT Gosder Cherilus, formerly of the Lions.

This is presumably one of the "big announcements" owner Jim Irsay teased on Twitter. Cherilus was stout on the right side for the Lions last season, but is recovering from another knee operation. He's missed just four games in five years, however, and is a strong addition for the Colts' porous line provided he's healthy. This shouldn't be the last move the Colts make with the intention of keeping Andrew Luck upright more often in 2013.

Now they have bookend BC (Boston College---aka O-Line U) tackles, LT Anthony Costanzo and RT Gosder Cherilus.

I mentioned this on TV a minute ago… Sounds like #Titans TE Jared Cook is leaning towards the Rams over the Dolphins.

Cribbs make sense now that LSH is gone. Need someone to return kicks. However I don't see Cribbs wanting to be just a special teamer and I don't think he is much more than that on the Cardinals.
Nah, Leon Washington would be better and he will get released by Haws. From LSH to LWSH.

Browns just signed Kruger. Could help our chances to keep Groves?
Groves is as good as gone if you ask me, he had his best season as a pro under the guide of Horton...Players leaving town from Cards never ends well.

RT @NFLSTROUD: Bucs have sent a plane to pick up 49ers free agent S Dashon Goldson from California tonight, according to agent Ben Dogra.

Pete Prisco@PriscoCBS

I don't understand the Bucs push to get Goldson. Get a damn corner.

I would love both. Alexander is a beast on ST's, and a solid backup SILB as well, dont want him starting, but solid backup. Although there are more touchbacks now Cribbs will still be running it out of the endzone about 40 to 50 times at 28 yards a clip, it would also put Petersons mind fully on making the next step in his CB development instead of still returning punts.

Depends on the price, right? Alexander is 29 and has 13 NFL starts, none the past two years.

Cribbs brings little value anymore. None as a receiver and almost none as a punt returner. If he's signed for much more than $1.5M per year, doesn't make much sense. He's 29.

Interesting, Colts sign ex-AZ CB Greg Toler, who has injury history. Cardinals wooing ex-Colts CB Jerraud Powers, who has injury history

Colts announce agreement in principle with CB Greg Toler (love it) and OT Gosder Cherilus (meh)..

Pete Prisco@PriscoCBS

Why did I know a smart, young Gm like Grigson would sign Toler. Nice move.

Of course everything depends on the price.

Not bringing in Alexander to be a starter so I dont care how many games he has started over his career.

I think Cribbs brings in more value then most are giving credit for. 12 yard average returning punts is excellent. So is returning kickoffs for a 28 yard clip. As a return man he would still be touching the ball 5-6 times a game and I would like a guy who is one of the best doing it 5-6 times a game. 5-6 times a game means he would touch the ball more then a #3 WR would in a season.

Peterson is thinking to hard about uping his CB game and it ruined his punt returning last year IMO. Having Cribbs do it instead of Peterson is also a plus IMO.

Drew Rosenhaus is walking into Dolphins' building right now and yells that he just signed Safety Chris Clemons to one-year deal with Miami.

With this division...... Our QB play...... And finally, our rebuilding plan just beginning..... We will have to hope that people want to either play in AZ for the weather..... OR.... to be wooed by an overspending front office.

It's our only hope.

I am being unfair to Cribbs. He's very valueable as a punt returner. We just paid LSH $2M to do much less than what Cribbs can offer. Just doesn't make sense to extend that kind of money to a role that good teams tend to fill with undrafted free agent rookies and late-round picks. Not a great dedication of resources for an extra 5 yards of field position.
