So disappointing. Miller's a very good coach, but I'm withholding words like great or spectacular until he actually a accomplishes something in the Dance (as would every one of you if he coached anywhere else).

Arizona can't shoot the ball that is the bottom line, can't beat good teams just by attacking and playing defense.

I know what you're saying, but going forward Calipari is probably the only coached I'd take over him. Assuming there is not a miracle in the final 3 minutes he is now 11-4 in the tournament at UofA, that is doing something in the dance.

I don't think the refs have been biased, there have been touch calls both ways, but this was a reeeeally bad crew for UofA to run across. They basically can't play defense the way these guys have called the 2nd half.

I'm a Zona fan. Excuse me for having an opinion that differs from you and dares to even slightly question ANYTHING that happens with the team.

... this is absurd. I know some of the detrators are going to blab about the offense being "weak", but it hasn't been this game. They're shooting 55% from the field, the offense has NOT come up short. Wisconsin is making ridiculous 3s, whenever they need one someone drills a 3, no matter of its off balance, contested... its going in.

.

I've got my concers and I'd take Izzo, Wisconsin's coach, Pitino and Cal over him in a heartbeat, but at least you're being civil and not telling a fellow Cats fan to get lost. It's appreciated on a crappy day.

I'm talking about going forward. Miller is still young for a coach, when Bo Ryan was his age he was coaching in Division III.

Dude Arizona shot like 20 FT's in the 2nd half, at one point 14 of your 16 points were on FT's and you're complaining about the refs?

Agreed. They were the only reason we were staying in the game on offense.

Agree. Had nothing to do with the officials. When a team goes 10-12 from 3 in one half with some ridiculous prayer shots, there's literally nothing you can do. Texas Southern could've won with a performance like that. Even If Wisconsin were to miss three of those, they probably lose.

... reread the post. I didn't say they were biased, but calling a game that way, where brush, every interior contest, every flop becomes a foul... its not the kind of officiating you usually see in the tournament and its a serious problem for team like Arizona that wins with defensive pressure.

And I didn't say thats what beat us either, it just took them out of their game. What killed the Cats was obviously Wisconsin going bat **** crazy from 3.

The fouls were iffy to terrible for most of the game regardless of the number of free throw attempts.

At least two of Stanley Johnson's fouls were called when it was clear he had nothing but ball.

There were bad calls both ways, so I won't complain about the refs, although I'd prefer a more physical game and for the refs to let them play, but that's obviously my bias talking. The shots they got to go in though, were freaking unbelievable.

Stanley Johnson won't be back next year... but he should. Most mocks I see have him as a mid first round pick, if he stays and works on his jumper the guy can be a top 5 pick in a year. If he goes pro its going to be a few years before he can get on the court.

He's going between 4 and 7. He's gone.

There were a number of ticky tack calls but I can't get out of my mind 10-12 from 3 in the 2nd half. I don't even think Dekker does that in warmups.

There's no doubt he's gone.

And in retrospect, I should have waited to start questioning Miller until the immediate pain of today wore of. Wrong time for that post.

If one of the Big 4 comes back I hope it's Rondae. Unless Rabb comes in their athleticism will take a big hit.

Rabb is going to Cal after all.

The only cat considering a return is Zeus.

We'll be fine next year. Allen and Anderson will be available. Trier is the truth. Smith is great if healthy. Simon too. Comanche will need a year to develop, but Ristic can fill in. I also know Zona is looking at graduate transfer post players.

I expect Pitts to transfer, but even still, our backcourt is loaded and we'll still be at worst a Top 10 team.
