If NY continues to struggle, we could maybe get Shumpert for him. I don't know if that would be a good deal for us or not but I have heard Shumpert has a lot of potential and Suns have had interest in him in the past.

I'm not trying to say anything good or bad about Shumpert, but any preference the Suns may have shown towards a player pre-McDonough should be thrown out the window. McD clearly has some very different views on talent than Blanks did.

I already considered Knicks inquiring about Dragic and dangling Shumpert.

I would do that if Suns feel that they have a chance on Lebron.
Because it gives the suns the best defensive perimeter team on the league. Add a shooter like Galinari OR one of the Morris's continue to develop and that team is fit for Lebron and Bledsoe. Goodwin can be sixth man until he becomes good enough to push Shumpert as sixth man.

Len will take 3-4 years to become good I think... So backing up Plumlee isn't so bad as long as he contributes rebounding and shot blocking whilst developing his offense.

I have actually read in an article (maybe like 9 months go?) that Babby was the one who wanted Shumpert not Blanks. He apparently wanted us to take Shumpert in the draft and then wanted to trade Nash to NY for him.

They should keep Dragic to take the pressure off Bledsoe imo. When playing with Dragic, Bledsoe has much more energy throughout the whole game and is much better on the defensive side also.

The Suns as a team are more dangerous when they have more than just one shot creator.

Yes. I think Dragic on the roster helps make up for some of Bledsoe's deficiencies. Its a good combo.

I am sure that is true, but I think Babby has handed the reigns over to McD completely as far as scouting and player choices.

I don't think I'd sign Evan Turner to the max.

he is averaging 25/6/3 or something close to that after tonight so he'll definitely get that kind of money 4yrs/50

They should be able to sign someone to $15 or so and re-sign Bledsoe. It may take some creativity should they end up with 4 or 5 rookies though.

Evan Turner to the max? LOL.

uh yes

#2 pick in the draft, 25 years old and averaging 23.4ppg 6.7rpg 3.3apg 1.3spg 52%FG 86%FT

The only thing he does not do well right now is shoot 3s.

If he keeps up 90% of this he will definitely get the max he is allowed to get.

Eric Gordon got the max for less.

Do we have enough cap room to sign Evan Turner to the max and keep resign Bledsoe?

Turner is a restricted FA. Our only chance of getting him is if he does NOT keep up this pace, begins to look like a marginal player and Philly doesn't match. Which is not the best way to sign a FA.

For the record, I am a big fan, but I want to see him produce those numbers for an entire season. His three point shooting really needs to improve. Your two top guys cannot be terrible three point shooters. Evans is still better than Bledsoe, but he is still pretty bad.

From what I've heard on the local radio here, Turner was VERY unhappy with the Sixers. I would be surprised if Turner finishes the season in Philli, regardless of how well he plays.

UGH. Slin, you're in love with Turner over a few games? He's shooting WAY above his career average so far -- almost a full .1 higher than his career average. That's with a pitiful 17 percent shooting from 3-point, which is scary bad for a SF. His 3 assists per game are pointless because he's average 3 TOs a game. Also, big shock, he doesn't like to play defense.

You want to give THAT guy a max contract (which is exactly what he's demanding with pyscho-agent David Falk)? No thanks. I'll pass.

I'd rather give an ancient reliable guy like, say, Paul Pierce or (I can't believe I'm saying this) Shawn Marion mid-range, two-year, Manu Ginobli-type money than sign that guy to a long-term anchor. I'll PASS on Evan Turner.

Thanks for writing all that out for me so I didn't have to. I owe you one! ;)

Basically, one month of the season doesn't determine if a player is worth the max or not.

I live an hour and a half away from Philli (Cumberland County), but the Sixers are the only NBA team in the area, so I get to listen to a lot of sports radio and I do watch a lot of Philli games. Even with league pass, I probably watch Philli more than any other team with the obvious exception (Suns.)

The first time I ever went deer hunting was in Cumberland Co. Beautiful area there around Hershey etc. I live for three years in the Quakertown area. That was 25 or more years ago now. It was tough being a Suns fan in the Philly area. In those days we had no internet and the games were too late to make the box scores in the morning paper. You never really knew what was going on, even when you tried.

You're right! Once upon a time, when you toured the Hershey plant, you walked past a room-size vat of chocolate being churned with transparent walls. The smell of chocolate was overwhelming.

At the end of the tour, you'd give anything for a Hershey bar but all they gave you was a little square, if I remember right. Of course, we bought Hershey bars at the gift shop.

They ultimately replaced the actual vat with a Disney-like replica. It just wasn't the same.

Central PA is, indeed, a very nice area. Don't care for our winters up here, but outside of that, I like it up here. If only we could send Philli and Pittsburgh to NJ and MD, it would be almost perfect. :)

It is MUCH easier being a Suns fan now with league pass and the internet.

Yeah, we might as well give Markieff the max then. :p

Been there, done that. :D If I remember right, there's a Six Flags amusement park in Hershey too.
