Good win by the Warriors vs the clippers earlier in overtime.
Not really pulling for anyone in the playoff's since the suns are out of but playoff basketball is always fun to watch.
Just hoping the spurs don't win it this year booo!!!

Three road wins on the first day of playoffs. Could get interesting. As per general rule, I'm simply rooting against Spurs and Heat.

Amen to that, Griffin. Anyone but the Heat and the Spurs.

For me, it's anyone but the Bulls, Pacers, Grizzlies and the Clippers. Too much physical play and/or too much acting. I'm following the Spurs, they play the game the right way for the most part. With Bowen gone and Manu mostly bridled they are far more watchable then in days past. You still have to put up with Duncan's whining but it's hard not to respect what Pop has done with this group. I used to dislike the Heat, mostly because of Lebron and his announcement but nowadays the only one that bothers me there is Wade. He's such a phony on the court.

In truth though, I won't be all that happy or all that unhappy no matter who wins. It won't be us, everything else is of minor concern. Once the Suns are out of it, it's more about individual players for me. Players like Curry and Harden (despite the acting) display incredible offensive skills and are a lot of fun to watch IMO. Although they will likely be one and done I also like watching Jefferson almost toy with the defense down low. On the flip side, I hate watching West repeatedly ram his way through the defender or Deron jump hard into the guy and draw foul after foul. Or the flailing that Chris Paul does anytime someone has the temerity to guard him.

Basketball has just changed since we were kids. It's no longer show casing your top 2 or 3 players, if your team can't play defense teams will exploit you with just decent talent and excellent execution. The Meat aren't as tough as everybody says, SA is, but it's not because of the premiere young talent. Coaching can beat a team that has better players, I'm glad we have good coaching in Phx, I missed it there for a while.

46 and 18 for Aldridge. Let's hope Portland goes down in 5 and he demands a trade.

My prediction that the Grizz would come out of the West this season still has life! (Of course, I did waffle on it when I found out Hollins was fired.)

It was nice to see them overcome those phantom calls on Gasol. If you breath on Durant, it is a foul apparently

He definitely bumped him on the 4 point play, was with his hip. The one on the jumpshot he hit him on the forearm.

Crazy game, i thought for sure Durant got fouled from behind when the ball popped out when Tony Allen was on him, then he gets that crazy 4 point play and who expects a bucket from Perkins?

But Memphis was too much in the OT, they're a very tough matchup for OKC. I'm not a huge Scott Brooks fan but I'm not sure what he can change here, he needs Perkins on the floor for defense but then it gives Memphis an extra defender to help all the time.

Westbrook also has to look to get others involved, I get that he thinks he can score on Conley and he can, but he's got to keep everyone else involved it's just him or Durant too often.

You and I must be watching different videos. Of course, even announcers on the same broadcast disagree. :)

Russ, I know you are a big UCLA fan, but Westbrook frustrates me every year at this time. Not only do I agree with you on the above post, but even Shaq, Kenny, and Charles are left scratching their head at his 28 shot attempts last night. How does this kid stand next to the league MVP (soon-to-be) and shoot as much as he does? He was 1-7 from 3-pt land! Westbrook is all kinds of talented, but I don't understand why Scottie Brooks lets him get away with this consistently. This is the single reason I can never see OKC winning the championship - regardless of much talented is on the roster.

If Westbrook had a little more "Nash/Stockton/Magic/Isiah/" in his blood, OKC wouldn't lose.

Wizards up 2-0 over the Bulls. Other "favorites" are now locked in 1-1 battles. Love seeing the upstart teams take down the old guard.

I have always felt as long as his gigantic ego continues to be in the way, OKC will NEVER win a title. Its a two way street with his type of temperament/attitude, he is not in Durant's league, will never be. He needs to work on getting everyone else involved instead of trying to prove what he is not, if they lost the series, it will not be because of Perkins.... With all his talents, he is fast becoming my least liked PG in the league.

Portland takes the first two on the road against the Rockets. Didn't see that coming. Aldridge is a beast! Will be interesting to see how long the Blazers can keep this rolling. Robin Lopez has his hands full with Dwight Howard, but is making a pretty respectable showing so far with a lot of key plays.

You're forgetting Harden's complete bed crapping so far in the series.

Yep, his shooting last night was abysmal. Very abnormal for him. I just saw highlights and listened to Blazers radio broadcast last night, so not sure exactly what's up with that. It looks like he is 14/47 or about 29% for the series.

The refs are so terrible. Just blew a call at the end of the Warrior game. They really need to make fouls reviewable in the final minute. Especially if they're going to have out of bounds reviewable to the extent we've seen with guys getting fouled and losing the ball out of bounds, but with no call on the play and fouls not reviewable the fouling team gets the ball.
