I know we're coming like a freight train after both, I just hope we get caught looking on the outside because we're stuck in this division with them...sometimes it just happens that way :(

I'm praying like hell that Keim & BA's plan to get better & catch them succeeds. :newcards:

it won't truly happen until we get that young stud QB who can compete with those guys year after year. Good thing is that a) the Hawks keep losing players to substance abuse and knowing Carrol, they'll continue to and b) in a couple years, those two QBs are gonna get monster contracts and that will hamstring more then they are now to keep putting pieces around them. I mean, both teams are just LOADED on both sides of the ball. That won't continue with big time QB contracts.

we're basically in the NFC East in the late 80's/early 90's with the Giants and Skins were just tough as nails, with the Eagles always making the playoffs also. that's what our division looks like moving forward.

Exactly what I was thinking but didn't want to say it exactly. Even the Cards had some talent but just didn't ever have enough to qualify or get past all 4 others for a playoff berth other than '82. :(

I still think the Seahawks are a much better and a more complete team than the 49ers.

Basically splitting hairs.. I think the 9ers have a better front 7 on defense. Hawks have a better secondary. 9ers have a better tight end. O-lines are about equal. Running backs are about equal. Wideouts are about equal with maybe a very slight edge to Seattle. And it's really hard to separate Kaep and Wilson... I actually think Kaep is a better big game QB, but that can quickly change this post season should Wilson take his team to the dance...

What make the Niners sooooooo good IMO is their ability to get significant pressure on the QB with their front four {or 4 of their front 5}. That is true against most opponents and it is largely because Justin Smith and Ray McDonald get more pressure than most defensive tackles. And Aldon Smith isn't bad either. It is reason one why the Cardinals have to get much better on their offensive line or they won't be competitive with the Niners anytime soon.

Under the previous regime, the offensive line was built with average {and expensive} free agents and was poorly coached IMO. Under the new regime, there is a real opportunity for upgrading it {and the coaching has improved IMO}.

What if Atlanta doesn't recover the onside kick? Recovering an onside kick is the luckiest play in football.

but playing a 2 win team at home, with the playoffs on the line: should it really come down to an onside kick?

Didn't the Cards basically beat a horrendous Bucs team because their coach was an idiot throwing the ball on a terrible pass by turkey neck? Just sayin lol:D

Kaep outplayed him and did it without sleeves (bonus points).

Which defense would you prefer to play QB against Green Bays or SF's?

Green Bay had their #3 CB out there at times and had a safety playing nickel CB.

CK made some big plays and obviously Rodgers didn't have a good game but it was also his 2nd game back after what 6-7 weeks out hurt?

I do agree though the Lambeau Field thing is being overplayed now.

as much as a I hate both teams, I still kinda want to see them square off in the NFC Title game simply because I want to watch the best football possible and those two teams are the best of the NFC. and they hate each other, which makes it all the more fun to watch.

I would like to see the matchup because eventually one team has to lose!

Can't stand either. Hope both lose but for today Go GB

I think we would have beat GB. Keppernick's greatest asset is his feet. The guy can flat out move around and knows when to run. What round was he drafted in?
