If the Cavs get the Lakers pick in addition to everything else from the Celtics then Ainge should be fired. They already won the trade, I could see the Brooklyn pick being added if the trade was just for IT and Crowder for Kyrie but they gave the Cavs a Godfather type offer already. Anything more than some 2nd round picks and IT has to be out for the year.

It's hard to see the Cavaliers backing out of the trade with such a sweet deal unless IT cannot play this coming season.

I think Ainge calls their bluff.

The thing about Noel wanting the max, the Mavericks got him for pocket change from the 76ers.

If this is any indication of his market value, it's not much.

Here is a recap of that trade.

The Philadelphia 76ers are sending Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks for Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and a protected (1-18) 2017 first-round pick, according to the Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. If the pick does not convert this year, the Sixers will gain the Mavericks’ 2017 and 2018 second-round picks, per ESPN’s Zach Lowe.

Dude turned down $70M to end up taking $4M. He's UFA next year but if he wants another $70M offer he needs to have a healthy All Star type of year.

Noel's decision is perplexing to me as well. IMO, Mark Cuban offered him more money than he is actually worth at least in the current market.

I wouldn't want to bet against Mark Cuban's judgement.

Noel will have to have a great season to get another offer in the 4 year, 70 million dollar range (which was reportedly offered) plus he needs to recoup the money he left laying on the table for this season when he signed the 4.1 million dollar qualifying offer.

His new contract needs to recover around 11 million dollars from this season alone.

Milwaukee plans to waive Spencer Hawes, league sources tell ESPN. Bucks using stretch provision on his $6M salary to get under luxury tax.

He's a decent player, but isn't he hugely anti-gay or something else like that?
