Two years running we drafted the youngest guy in the draft

We all expect booker to be an all star, if just one of bender/chriss hits as an all star... by the time they are all 25/26, golden state/okc/clippers stars should be on the downside of their careers. Suns/Minnesota battling it out in 2021 for the WCF sounds good

BTW when is the chriss deal OFFICIAL, i dont want to worry about kings pulling back, if any front office would do that, it's them.

Yup and then we get to start adding Heat first rounders and if we are lucky they struggle to reload and those offer us more talent!

I like the Sixers #1 pick but at #24, a real head scratcher, so was #26. They take Simmons but take a SF from France instead of going to get a much needed point guard like Ulis. Would have loved to see them draft Gary Payton's kid buy they had no 2nd round picks. Maybe they will still get him as an undrafted FA.

I don't think it works that way. It's only "proposed" because no trade is final until the league office approves it but I believe you're committed to the deal at this stage. It's not like what happened with the Curry/Amare swap, that was a deal that wasn't actually made.

"Love the draft. Was really struggling deciding which guy I liked. Now we at least have two shots for one of these bigs to hit! And if they both do, with Booker is a great young nucleus."

Exactly my feelings. I was leaning towards Bender but Chriss also looked like a great pick. Now we have both. Very happy with this!

The 2016 Draft seemed weaker at the top of the draft but the depth of this draft really impressed me. What drove it home for me was when the Mavericks drafted center AJ Hammons at #46. I was watching his video during his selection and it suddenly hit me. He would have been drafted in the top ten not so many years back.

Here is a legitimate, mobile 7 foot center who can score, rebound, and has the ability to defend the rim. It's not that I hadn't watched his video before but it was the context of the video. Here is this skilled center being drafted #46 in the draft. The NBA has changed where a center of his caliber can fall this far in the draft. Most every team wants a player like him but this is not what NBA teams are focusing on. They want players that can switch on defense and be able to guard the 3 point shot.

I'm sure other NBA fans saw players they like fall deep into this draft. I'm only using Hammonds as an example. It's not a new phenomena for good players to fall late into the second round but this draft seemed to have more than it's share. I can't help but wonder if other posters had this feeling about other late round talent.

I kept wanting the Suns to have more draft picks.
