How this draft has gone makes me believe the Cards didn't love the class as a whole, and are frustrated with the lack of translation from college to pros.

Seems like they wanted to take advantage of the DL class. wanted a CB with length to develop. A OL to play C with an easy transition due to system and smarts. And then they looked to elevate ST depth and OL depth.

What this looks like from a roster standpoint to me. Bethel is locked in at the #2 CB spot. There could be leverage in the Calais Campbell talks. Watford is not a future option at T. They like their ILB group way more than I do. Jefferson may get a long term deal, and Branch could start.

Toner sounds like he could play all 5 OL positions, which is a terrific asset if he can make the squad.

I mentioned in another thread that maybe this is our long snapper too, so I'm more comfortable with it if that might be the thought.

One of the reasons why you think Bethel is locked in at #2 CB is the focus on elevating ST depth maybe?

Sounds like last year and look how that worked out.

Just wouldn't be the draft if all the super scouts on the board didn't have something to bitch about it would it?

I like to block off a few days each year to enjoy the draft. Unfortunately it is getting harder. The Cardinals forum should be the best place in the world to enjoy the draft.

I find the bitching kind of fun... all part of the spectacle. I don't really like it during the season or FA, but for these three days, I'm in, haha.

Quite a few one dimensional edge rushers still on the board if the don't want Freeney back.

Losing Hogan was sad. I wish they'd had moved up to take him if they really want the QBOTF

Miller is a little slow for NFL. Great motor, but surely they have enough DBs.

I wonder if Eric Stryker could be in play for Big Red here? I wonder if he could play ILB

If so, he could bring some unique skills to that position for us

I will follow the draft through my eyes, not yours.
