20 Days away!!
Really? Wow!

I'm looking for great things from Chip and his gang.

And something to take my mind off the woes of the Suns.

Go D-backs.

P.S.: The D-backs first Spring Training game will be vs. the UofA on Tue. March 1st. The day before that, they will have an exhibition games vs. the West Virginia University Mountaineers free of charge.

Ironically, my younger son got his B.S. at UofA and, after getting his PhD, is an Associate Physics prof at WVU.

Pitchers and catchers reporting today, even though it seems like they've been there a month already. Seriously excited to see who rises up to to take the 4 & 5 spots, and what the middle infield will look like on April 4th.

Also wanted to say I seem to drift away from ASFN every now and then, but as I was getting excited for baseball season, and don't have many close to me that have the same passion, to pop back in here and read the off season threads, this forum is like heaven with all the knowledgeable opinion and info. Looking forward to more in 2016!

Let's just hope we make it through the preseason with no major injuries. Corbin's been out for best part of two years since that tragic pre season game.

First televised Spring Training game today vs. the Cubs. Creative uniform styles. It looks like Brito has a good chance to be the starting LF ahead of Tomas, with Peralta now the everyday RF. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

So far, today's game is 3-3 in the bottom of the 4th.

Split squad today, anyone know where Goldie and the rest of the big boys are playing? Peoria or Scottsdale? Going to try to take my nephew to get an autograph.

How are they looking so far? I see that they are 12 - 3 so far. I haven't watched them yet.

They are the best Major League hitting team in Spring Training by a large margin.

Even the guys battling for positions at 2B, SS, 3B and LF are all hitting well.

The rest of the positions are locked up with . . .

C....Beef Wellington
1B..Goldy
CF..Pollock
RF..Peralta

And with new #1 and #2 Pitchers at head of the starting rotation pushing last year's starters down, we're solid there. And the bullpen looks good.

Add in Tony La Russa running the baseball operation with an excellent Front Office . . .

And our former Minor League Manager of the Year, Chip Hale, and solid changes to the Coaching staff, especially Hitting Coach and Pitching Coach leading the team on the field.

We are right there with the Giants and potentially better than the Dodgers within the Division.

It is going to be an exciting season. Time to break the Giants tradition of winning it all in even-numbered years.

All fans with Suns blahs are invited to embrace the D-backs and feel good this season.

And then the Cubs are eating them alive today. But it's Spring Training and our starter is not projected to make the starting rotation, and perhaps be in the Minors when the season starts.

It will be fun to see our regular 5-man rotation going 7 innings when it counts.

BC, I know we have our disagreements and you're discontent with the Suns right now, but can you please leave your Suns related opinions on the Suns board.

Bringing up the Suns in like half your Dback posts is getting really old.

I am in full Cardinals to the SB mode now. But is anyone else seeing what is happening with the DBacks, and what they are assembling? It is almost scary.
