He was one of top 5 guys on my board (Howard,,Foster, Howard, Howard the other 4).

Love his back story - fits "Cardinal culture" the staff is trying to create. Gotta assume BA&SK rated him ahead of Foster - all things considered.

Certainly a talented athlete. I'm worried about his ability to cover on the outside and also to diagnose the play. He should be fine with a year or two experience. I just don't think he's the game changer Foster would have been.

With an Earl Thomas type on the board (Hooker)....... This sucked IMO.

Foster is also the better player of the two. And the more natural at the position.

My initial reaction was UGH because I didn't want an OLB in round 1.. if the rumors of him playing in the middle then I am more open to it.. makes me wonder where Foster was on their boards though.. maybe if hooker falls any further we can trade up

I hope to be wrong but I'm not moved by this. Good kid, athletic, but that's a massive transition. Boom or bust and probably the latter.

Freaking trades jobbed us.

For guys worried about his transition to ILB. He was a S in HS, also remember Bucannon never played a down at LB until the NFL so it may not take long for Reddick to make an impact. His character shows he is willing to put in the work.

How do you figure? The best safety in the draft went 2 spots later
