Thought I'd get a thread going to talk about all of the deals going down today. I can't recall this many trades happening the day before the trade deadline hits before.

The Lakers acquired Reggie Bullock from the Pistons for Svi Mykhailiuk and a future 2nd round pick.

Instant analysis: The Lakers add some needed guard depth with the addition of Reggie Bullock. The sixth-year guard averaged 12.1 points, 2.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds over 44 games with the Pistons this season. He should be able to help the Lakers' depth chart as they wait for starting point guard Lonzo Ball to return from injury.

Rookie Svi Mykhailiuk didn't receive much opportunity with the Lakers during his first 39 games in the NBA. The 6-foot-8 guard was selected with the 47th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft and averaged 3.3 points in just 10.8 minutes per game with Los Angeles.

Instant analysis: The Sixers continue to go all-in on the 2018-19 season with the addition of Tobias Harris. The eighth-year NBA forward is averaging career-highs of 20.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 34.6 minutes over 55 games with the Clippers this season. Alongside Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler, Harris and the Sixers could have enough talent to make a run for the Eastern Conference title. Harris, along with Butler, are both unrestricted free agents this summer.

For the Clippers, they add two valuable first-round picks that could be used in another trade before Thursday's deadline. Rookie guard Landry Shamet has also been impressive during his first season in the NBA with averages of 8.3 points on 44.1-percent shooting from the field and 40.4-percent from 3-point. Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala both have contracts that will expire this summer.

Instant analysis: Portland ranks seventh in 3-point percentage (36.2 percent) but is tied for 17th in 3-pointers made (574) and is 20th in that category since 2019 began. Enter Hood, who has made 110 or more 3-pointers in three straight seasons. Although he only has 55 3-pointers this season, Hood should get more open looks as a complimentary player in Portland than the near go-to guy he was in Cleveland. He's also an unrestricted free agent next summer, which gives Portland a way out should the trade flop.

For the Cavs, they acquire future assets (the Draft picks) and two players on expiring contracts (Stauskas and Baldwin) who did not figure much into the Blazers' rotation. Perhaps they can shine anew in Ohio.

I think the key to this deal is that the Clippers opened up a lot of salary space at the end of the season.

Harris is an awesome fit there. They should’ve made this move earlier and just not traded their depth guys for Butler.

Yeah but they flipped Barnes for an expiring contract and a rookie deal. I just looked and Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee cost about $31M combined, Powell $10M, Luka is under $8M, and KP is at $7.5M. Three scrubs combine for around $3M, plus Jackson is about $3M. That's about $62-$63M on payroll next year. They will be in great shape.
